We need families who are ready to welcome one or two teenagers from Ukraine for three weeks. They are 13–16 years old, and their fathers were killed in the war, are missing, or are being held in captivity.

American families can also become host families — you do not need to speak Ukrainian. The U4Ukids team helps families prepare for the teenager’s arrival and stays in touch throughout the entire program.

At the same time, we are continuing to raise funds for the next group’s trip to the United States. Donations help cover visas, insurance, flights, transportation, and other necessary program expenses.

Ivanka from Rivne is one of the teenagers who spent three weeks in the United States with U4Ukids this summer Uniting for Ukrainian Kids 🤍

The program in Seattle has already ended, and the teenagers have returned home to Ukraine. But we continue to share their stories and impressions from these three weeks.

U4Ukids is a three-week recovery program for teenagers ages 13–16 whose fathers were killed in the war, are missing, or are being held in captivity. During the program, the teenagers stay with host families, take part in trips, activities together, and a summer camp program.

And now, we are preparing our next groups and once again looking for people who are ready to become part of this journey — host families and those who can support the teenagers’ trips with a donation.

Three weeks in the United States, a host family, new places, summer camp, and people who become very close during this time 🤍

Olya is one of the teenagers from Ukraine who took part in the U4Ukids program in Seattle this summer.

U4Ukids is a three-week recovery program for teenagers ages 13–16 whose fathers were killed in the war, are missing, or are being held in captivity. During these three weeks, the teenagers come to the United States, stay with host families, take part in trips, local outings, and a summer camp program, and then return home to Ukraine.

We are already preparing our next groups, and we still greatly need host families and financial support to make these trips possible.

U4Ukids supports teenagers from Ukraine whose families have been directly affected by the war.

We organize a three-week recovery program in the United States for teenagers ages 13–16 whose fathers were killed in the war, are missing, or are being held in captivity.

Here, they stay with host families, spend time together, go on trips, meet new people, and take part in a summer camp. These three weeks give them the opportunity to experience a different environment, feel cared for, and spend time in a more peaceful and predictable setting.

For three weeks, the teenagers come to the United States, stay with host families, take part in local outings and a summer camp program. It is a time when they can step away from the daily realities of war, feel safe and cared for, and experience a more peaceful way of life.

We are now preparing for our next group and looking for host families in Seattle, WA, and the surrounding area. A host family welcomes one or two teenagers for three weeks, provides a place to sleep and meals, and includes them in their everyday family life. Throughout the program, the U4Ukids team stays in touch and supports our host families.

We also greatly need financial support. Donations help cover visas, insurance, flights, transportation, and other expenses necessary for the teenagers to participate in the program. You can support U4Ukids from anywhere in the world—even a small donation helps make the next child’s trip possible.

The next group of teenagers from Ukraine is already preparing for their trip to Portland, Oregon.

They are 13–16 years old, and their fathers were killed in the war, are missing, or are being held in captivity.

In the months ahead, they will apply for visas, travel to the United States, spend three weeks with host families, take part in local outings and summer camp, and have the opportunity to step away from the realities of war for a little while—to experience peace, care, and support.

To make this program possible for the next group, we are currently raising donations.

Every donation helps cover visas, insurance, flights, local transportation, and other program-related expenses. Even a small gift becomes part of something much bigger.

Behind every trip like this are people who chose to help. Because of their support, these teenagers have the opportunity to spend three weeks in a safe and caring environment, meet new people, and experience what everyday life can feel like without war.
