People living with diabetes are 2–3x more likely to experience depression and diabetes distress. 💙

Journaling can be a powerful coping tool. It's your own personal space to release emotions, process feelings, and get things out of your head. ✍🏽💭🧠💆🏼‍♀️

Write, draw, color, use stickers, markers or whatever feels good to you. You can keep it private or share parts with others if you want. There’s no right or wrong way to journal because it’s YOUR safe space.

Two Saturdays ago, we hosted our 2nd Annual Finding Peace & Chronic Illness event, and what an incredibly impactful day it was. 💙✨

But don’t just take our word for it. Hear from some of our guests about what this event meant to them.💚💙🩵

One of the biggest reminders from the day is how powerful community truly is when living with diabetes or other chronic illness. Having spaces where you are seen, heard, and supported makes all the difference.

As such we are excited to launch the DTO Community GroupMe as a way to keep that connection going beyond our events--a space to stay updated, share resources, and continue building community. Whether you’re living with T1D, T2D, a caregiver, or part of the broader community, there’s a place for you here.

Send us a DM or comment below if you’d like to join the DTO Community GroupMe! 📲

Is somebody cutting onions in here...😭👏

"I'm in the gym.. I see the shots, like literally and figuratively."

One of the most emotional moments from Finding Peace in Chronic Illness came when Kenneth shared what it’s been like supporting Portia through her diabetes journey. He explains the joys of watching her go from being hyper-independent to allowing herself to be vulnerable, supported, and fully seen by him and others.

It was a reminder of how important it is to have people in our lives who make us feel safe enough to ask for help and not carry everything alone. 💚
