THE ALTAR MUST BURN AGAIN
7 NIGHTS OF CONTENDING FOR REVIVAL, MERCY, AND DELIVERANCE
Theme Scripture:
“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land...” — Ezekiel 22:30
PURPOSE OF DAY 6
The burden of this sixth day is to cry out for revival in the church and mercy over the land.
There are moments in history when God begins to search for men and women who will stand in the gap. Men who will not merely complain about the state of the church, but will travail. Women who will not only observe the darkness in the land, but will intercede. This is such an hour.
The church is under pressure. Many altars have grown weak. Prayer has been neglected in many places. Compromise has entered where holiness should stand. Entertainment has replaced travail in some gatherings. Discernment has weakened. Many are weary. Many have lost their first love. Many have form without fire.
The land also is groaning under violence, corruption, confusion, bloodshed, immorality, pride, and rebellion against God. But God still responds to prayer. He still hears the cry of intercessors. He still answers repentance with mercy. He still revives His work in the midst of the years.
Tonight, we are standing in the gap for:
the church
pastors and leaders
families and communities
cities and nations
the next generation
the return of prayer, holiness, and truth
a fresh outpouring of the Spirit
Tonight we cry:
Lord, revive Your church again.
Lord, have mercy on the land.
Lord, raise watchmen again.
Lord, let the altar burn again.
