This Men’s Health Month, let’s talk about what we keep putting off.

1 in 6 Black men will develop prostate cancer, if found early, it’s one of the most treatable cancers there is. The check-up can’t wait.

Choose Healthy Life makes it easier: a Health Navigator from your own congregation, and a free screening right at your church that checks your PSA all at once.

Book yours, and bring someone who’s been putting it off too. 💜

This Skin Cancer Prevention Month, we’re working to bring awareness to something that happens in our communities too.

Talk to someone who’d never bring it up themselves, the friend who’s not big on doctors, or the sibling who keeps saying they’ll go next year.

Grateful for a powerful day with our Choose Healthy Life Atlanta team! We dove into the “fierce urgency of now” and explored how we can do even more to close gaps in health access.

The need for accessible, free health services isn’t someday, it’s right now!

We need to talk about it! This Mental Health Month, Choose Healthy Life is working with the Black Church to change that. Making mental health one of the conversations that actually happens, in the places trust already lives.

Only 1 in 8 of us feel comfortable talking about mental health with the people closest to us. Black men are even less likely to ask.

Asking for help is not weakness. We were never meant to do this alone.

World Immunization Week ends soon, but our work doesn’t.

Vaccines you can get right now: Flu, RSV, COVID, and more. Most are free, Medicaid included.

And at any CHL event, free for anyone who walks in.

This World Immunization Week, we’re proud to continue encouraging people to get vaccinated and protect their health.

It’s the work that started Choose Healthy Life in 2020, when lifesaving vaccines were available but still weren’t reaching too many Black communities. If you get an opportunity, encourage someone to protect their health and get needed immunizations today. 💜
