🦋🚨 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS NOT JUST A FAMILY ISSUE. IT IS A NATIONAL CRISIS, AND OUR CHILDREN ARE PAYING THE PRICE!
💜 WOMEN WITH WINGS OUTREACH | DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH 2026
How many more women must lose their lives?
How many more children must be separated from their families?
How many more mothers must choose between remaining in an abusive home and facing homelessness?
🚨 THE STATISTICS ARE SPEAKING. ARE WE LISTENING?
These are some of the latest available national statistics, and the numbers should concern EVERY ONE OF US!
🔴 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DEATHS
According to a February 2026 FBI report, law enforcement agencies reported MORE THAN 11,000 domestic violence murder victims between 2020 and 2024.
💔 These are not just numbers! These are mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, and loved ones whose lives were taken.
🔴 CHILDREN ENTERING FOSTER CARE
According to federal foster care data for fiscal year 2024:
💔 16,101 children entered foster care in cases where domestic violence was identified as a circumstance.
💔 7,954 children entered foster care in cases where homelessness was identified as a circumstance.
💔 16,177 children entered foster care in cases involving inadequate housing.
These circumstances can overlap, but they reveal how deeply violence and housing instability affect our children!
🔴 HOMELESSNESS AND LIMITED SHELTER AVAILABILITY
According to the National Network to End Domestic Violence's March 2026 report:
🏠 On September 10, 2025, domestic violence programs across America received 13,018 REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE THAT WENT UNMET IN ONE DAY!
🏠 58% of those unmet requests involved shelter and housing!
🏠 Meanwhile, 84,146 survivors and their children received assistance that same day.
CAN YOU IMAGINE? 💔
Imagine finally finding the courage to leave an abusive environment, only to discover that the shelter is FULL or the resources are UNAVAILABLE!
Where does that mother go?
Where does she take her children?
How does she begin rebuilding when she has nowhere safe to lay her head?
🦋💜 THIS IS WHY WOMEN WITH WINGS OUTREACH IS WORKING TO ESTABLISH TAMAR'S TRANSITIONAL HOUSE IN GEORGIA!
We are NOT simply seeking a building to put beds inside!
We are working toward establishing a SAFE HAVEN FOR HEALING, RESTORATION, SPIRITUAL REHABILITATION, AND FAMILY STABILITY!
Our vision is to provide women and children escaping domestic violence with an environment where they can:
🦋 Heal from past trauma.
🦋 Rediscover their identity and worth through the truth of God's Word.
🦋 Receive spiritual encouragement and rehabilitation.
🦋 Develop life skills and financial independence.
🦋 Rebuild their confidence and stability.
🦋 Prepare for permanent housing and a sustainable future.
We believe our Heavenly Father, Abba, desires MORE for His daughters and their children than simply surviving another day!
WE WANT TO HELP THEM REBUILD THEIR LIVES! 🙌🏽
But we cannot continue watching families suffer while waiting for someone else to become the solution!
