I’ve always heard the saying, “A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words”, I was yesterday’s old when that proved to be true for me.
I came across this picture and thought of all the things that took place that day. In the moment that this picture was taken, I was reminded that God‘s timing is not mine and that HE had it All in control.
See this was my wedding day and in this picture this baby gave me a flower and called me beautiful. What was amazing about this is that she had just met me that day. Nobody would think that the beauty in this picture once felt like God had forgotten her.
- Disappointment was the norm
- Hurt was expected
- Discouragement was a reoccurring theme
Makeup and Wigs hid more than physical scars and smiles hid the tears, had to be “Picture Perfect” even though I was loosing it on the inside.
Imagine singing and teaching the Word of God for others to become Free and Remaining Bound, it’s amazing what pictures don’t reveal.
In the right lighting and at just the right angle, you only see what I want you to see.
God had to do some work on me and the process wasn’t easy. There were a lot of trial and errors, rise and falls but I had to keep going. See, I was determined to get to the Promise I preached to others and someone preached to me.
After the process of Being Healed and Free, the image in the picture was made true. I no longer had to fake the smile or mask the tears, I was genuinely Happy. God had given me back my smile and that day was just one of the testaments of His Love for Me.
Just remember that the next time you judge or make assumptions, You Only Seen the Picture!
Be Blessed,
