What is YouthBuild?
The Georgia Building Trades Academy (GABTA) YouthBuild Program is a hands-on construction pre-apprenticeship program designed to prepare trainees to enter and succeed in a Registered Apprenticeship Program. Through the 9 month program, trainees will gain construction skills and training to develop a positive work ethic. Educational classes are included in the training increasing reading comprehension and math skills in order to successfully pass apprenticeship entry exams. Additionally, GED classes are also included for those who need to earn a diploma. Target zip codes 30310, 30311, 30313, 30314, 30315, 30318, 30331, 30344, and 30354.
Trainees graduate GABTA YouthBuild Program earning an Industry Recognized Credential and a pathway to employment through apprenticeships.

Am I Eligible?
❏ Age 16-24
❏ High School Dropout, Have a High School Diploma or GED but not enrolled in College.
Must be one of the following:
❏ Low Income (Receives Food Stamps, TANF, SSD or SSI)
❏ Currently in Foster care (including aging out of foster care)
❏ Youth Offender
❏ Adult Offender
❏ Child of Incarcerated Parents
❏ Youth with disability
❏ MigrantYouth
❏ Basic Skills Deficient ( Test offered to determine if Reading or Math Skills are low)
