Partners of the Americas, is an international organization focused on enhancing social and economic development in the Western Hemisphere through state partnerships that share skills, expertise, and leadership through people-to-people exchanges. Kennedy, as part of the Alliance for Progress, joins volunteers from many walks of life in partnerships between U.S. States, and States or Countries in No

rth America, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America, to improve the lives of people across the hemisphere. and the State of Pernambuco, Brazil, is one of the first of the 50+ partnerships, connects Georgians and Pernambucanos, in volunteer action through professional, educational, and cultural programs with home-stays, sharing hands-on expertise, and building goodwill for a peaceful global community. Partners of the Americas, Inc., international office in Washington, DC, provides central coordination among all the states throughout the hemisphere. For over 52 years, our dynamic, volunteer-driven partnership has produced a wide range of programs and opportunities for Georgians and Pernambucanos. Our exchange and program committee areas: Health & Rehabilitation, Business, Legislative, Education, University Linkage, Emergency Preparedness, and Youth Sports.

Gender Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Initiative: Female Entrepreneurs (Meu Propósito)
Pernambuco-Georgia Partners UPE/FCAP: Purpose: Female Entrepreneurs will combat inequalities through empowerment of and income generation for women in the community of Caranguejo Tabaiares in Recife, offering training in entrepreneurship and financial empowerment. Meu Propósito will work in partnership with the Pernambuco-Georgia Partners and UPE/FCAP. Meu Propósito is an NGO that uses financial education towards community economic development. Pernambuco-Georgia Partners is a member of Partners of the Americas inter-American volunteer network, and UPE/FCAP is the Pernambuco State University School of Business Administration and Law.
