This happened last month...
One of the main goals of the East Atlanta Runs organization is to uplift the community we call home. With the generous support of sponsors, participants, volunteers and team members, we are able to provide funds to support organizations doing meaningful work in the East Atlanta community.
| $4000 Donation
EACK is an organization building a promising future for the children of southeast Atlanta with high quality S.T.E.A.M. and sports based programming. This donation will go directly to supporting their annual holiday programming that provides a thoughtful approach to holiday gifting for families in need in the community with their fifth annual Present-Palooza. Families are able to shop for gifts, judgement-free, at zero cost.
East Atlanta Program | $2700 Donation
At its core, Georgia Works is transforming chronically homeless men into self-sufficient and productive members of society through multiple programming outlets, including their East Atlanta weekly cleanups. This group assists in keeping the streets of EAV clean by providing 3 clean up sessions per week.
Social Services Division | $1000 Donation
With this donation, East Atlanta’s public elementary school will be providing services to those families and staff workers impacted by the SNAP benefit deficit. Extra support will also be given to the custodial staff for the holidays.
| $500 Donation
Run by fearless community member Sherri, Blessing Bags or Warmth is serving families and children by meeting pressing needs on an individual basis. The funds provided will go towards the most immediate needs within the southeast Atlanta community, including shelter, food security and transportation.
