🚨 **ATLANTA STR HOSTS: SHOW UP & SPEAK OUT** 🚨
This is our first **2026 Code Red moment** for short-term rentals in Atlanta.
On **Tuesday, January 27th**, the Atlanta City Council’s **Community Development & Human Services (CDHS) Committee** will consider **Ordinance 26-O-1084**, introduced by Councilmember Byron Amos.
If passed, this ordinance would **eliminate or severely restrict the majority of short-term rentals currently operating legally in Atlanta**.
Although it’s being described as an “administrative” change, make no mistake:
👉 This is a **fundamental restructuring** of Atlanta’s STR framework
👉 It would force many lawful hosts out of business overnight
👉 It shifts enforcement power to platforms and creates new layers of bureaucracy
👉 It functions as a **de facto ban** on large portions of our community
# # # 🗣️ WE NEED HOSTS TO ATTEND — AND TO SPEAK
City Council must hear directly from:
* Homeowners
* Retirees
* Small operators
* Families who rely on STR income to stay in their homes
You do **not** need to be a policy expert.
You just need to tell **your story**.
Even a **1-minute comment** makes a difference — and a full room makes an even bigger one.
