It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Brother, Icell Kyon Jackson. A Fall 2020 initiate, Charter Member of the Beta Chi Chapter of Dallas,Texas, and our current National Treasurer. Brother Jackson was a true steward of the legacy of Sophisticated Gentlemen, Incorporated. He led with purpose, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to service, ensuring that our mission was firmly rooted within his community.

Brother Jackson was a beacon of light—welcoming, nonjudgmental, and warm in spirit. His presence left people better than he found them, and his path was one paved with grace, compassion, and quiet strength. As we navigate this season of bereavement, we ask for continued prayers for his family, loved ones, and brothers.

May we remember him not only for who he was, but for who he continues to be in our hearts—a Gentleman in every sense of the word. Rest well, dear Brother. Your work is complete, and your place in Omega Omega is well earned. 🕊️

Today, the Southwest Region pauses to honor and remember the life of Icell “Kyon” Jackson, a brother whose presence brought people together in ways that felt natural and sincere.

Kyon was a proud member of Sophisticated Gentlemen, Inc., , by way of the Beta Chi Chapter, but his impact was never confined to one organization. In the Dallas area, he built meaningful relationships with members across several organizations, including MOD and The Academia Society (TAS). He believed in connection, in unity, and in showing support rooted in shared ideals rather than shared letters.

Kyon had a genuine way of forming bonds with everyone he met. His spirit was warm, his heart was open, and his energy made people feel welcomed wherever he went. He carried a light that stayed with you long after the moment passed, a light we continue to remember when we think of you alongside Nippy. That light does not fade. It lives on through the memories, the friendships, and the lives you touched.

To the brothers of Sophisticated Gentlemen, Inc., please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. To the members of the Southwest Region who have been impacted by this loss, I ask that you lean on one another, support one another, and remain present for each other in moments of need and to our friends throughout the Neoclassical community who are grieving, continue to love on each other as you always have. In times like these, we are reminded that community matters deeply and that sometimes all we truly have is one another.

Rest well, Kyon. Your life, your light, and your impact will not be forgotten.

Taking the time to honor and celebrate the birthday of our past Regional Director . He stepped up when he had to and answered the call when others wouldn’t. His leadership, sacrifice, and willingness to carry the region when it mattered most meant everything to the Southwest Region. We are grateful for the foundation he helped lay and the strength he showed in the moments that counted. Today, we remember, we honor, and we salute you.

Today the Southwest Region stands in solidarity with every person, family and community impacted by HIV and AIDS. We honor the lives we have lost, uplift the ones who continue to fight, and celebrate the strength of our brothers, sisters and siblings living with HIV.

As a region we stay committed to awareness, education and real support. World AIDS Day is a reminder that we walk with our community, we advocate for access and care, and we refuse to let stigma have the last word.

To those doing the work on the front lines and to those carrying this journey with courage and truth, we see you and we stand with you.

Taking the time to honor our past RD . It took me a minute to pull these words together because you truly meant that much to us. Even though you are no longer here, we couldn’t let another day pass without saying thank you for all you poured into the SWR and MOD as a whole. You were a steady presence, always guiding, always supporting, always showing what real brotherhood looks like. I am grateful for every lesson and every moment, and I pray to carry the same strength and resilience you lived with. Rest easy brother. Your impact is still felt.

Today our region pauses to lift up the life of Chris Anderson, a brother and friend whose presence meant a lot to many of us in New Orleans and across the Southwest.

Chris was not a member of our organization, but he showed us what real support looks like through his work and connection with the New Orleans MIC Chapter of The Academia Society. He showed up for us, he rooted for us, and he believed in the power of community. His fun and loving spirit made every room feel lighter. His smile made people feel seen. His energy made it easy to feel connected even across different letters.

Chris believed in bonding through shared values, and he honored those values in the way he lived and the way he supported others. The Southwest Region is grateful for the love he showed us and for the moments he shared with our members.

We hold his family, his loved ones, and the MIC Chapter in our thoughts. May his life be a reminder that impact is not limited to the letters you wear but shown by how you show up for people.

Rest well Chris.

When we launched 50 for 10 it was not just a campaign. It was a call to realign, reconnect, and rebuild what belongs to us.

Today we close this chapter at 51 reclaimed members and 9 active chapters. Beyond the numbers, this was about restoring pride, reinforcing our foundation, and reminding the Region who we are.

We did not cut corners. We did not rush the work. We handled it the right way. The MOD way.
Bold. Consistent. Intentional.

Reclaimed. Rewrought. Reconquered.
This is the new standard for the Southwest Region.
And we are just getting started.

The Southwest Region honors every Veteran who served with courage, loyalty, and discipline.

Your sacrifice represents the same spirit we live by — Brotherhood, Service, and Leadership.

We stand on the shoulders of those who stood for us.

Shout out to the Brothers of the Southwest Region who served to protect and represent.

We see you. We thank you. We salute you.
