Still smiling about Saturday night! What a beautiful and impactful evening at The Center for Family Resources’ “Under the Serengeti Sky” Gala.

So proud to support and celebrate one of our very own Happy Mama Happy Mini board members, Tahnicia Phillips, for leading such a meaningful event with excellence, heart, and purpose. 🤏🏽🤏🏽

One of the most special moments of the evening was seeing some of our favorite people honored. Judge Murphy and his entire team. Their dedication to families, children, and community-centered service continues to make a lasting impact, and it was beautiful seeing that recognized and celebrated. 💛

From the generosity in the room raising the most funds to date, to the unforgettable moments shared throughout the night, Saturday was a beautiful reminder that when community comes together, lives truly change.

To a Happy Mama who pours into so many of us… this one is for YOU. 🤍

20 years ago, a mother placed a camera in her daughter’s hands… and unknowingly helped shape a legacy.

And what you’ve done with that gift? Whew.

You’ve captured more than images, you’ve held space for Black women to be seen, to be honored, to be remembered in their fullness. You’ve shown up for so many mamas, telling our stories with care, intention, and truth.

What I love most is this: even through grief, through quiet seasons, through the moments where the work felt unseen… you kept going. And now, to see you stand in your work and say “it was always enough”… that’s powerful.

Because it was always bigger than the lens.
It was always legacy.
It was always love.
It was always her.

And now… it’s YOU Happy Mama!
