We’re deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Not only was she the world’s oldest and longest-reigning monarch, but she was also a role model of strength and leadership for women around the globe.
Empowering women is at the heart of everything we do at . And the Queen challenged gender norms throughout her 70-year reign. So, to celebrate her life, we remember some of her most inspiring moments.

👑She altered the laws of succession to the British throne to be defined by birth order, regardless of gender, in the Succession to the Crown Act 2013.
👑 She broke down gender stereotypes when she became an auto mechanic in World War II, the first and only woman in the royal family to serve in the Armed Forces.
👑 She was shot at six times at the Trooping the Colour ceremony in 1981 and continued riding her horse down The Mall like nothing had happened.
👑 She drove the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia around in her Land Rover, while Saudi women still weren't allowed to drive in their own country.
👑 She endorsed the Commonwealth Charter in 2013 that states ‘gender equality and women’s empowerment are essential components of human development and basic rights.’
👑 She was the longest-serving active member of the Women’s Institute from 1943 to 2022.
Queen Elizabeth II herself said, “It has been women who have breathed gentleness and care into the hard progress of humankind.” And we will continue to do so, just as she did.
Thank you for being the ultimate symbol of female power.
Rest in peace, Your Majesty.
