3 Years of Friendship, Community, and Service! 🌟

Today, A Friend You Have In Me, Inc. celebrates our 3rd Anniversary! It has been an incredible journey serving our community and building lasting bonds with our neighbors.

Over the last three years, we’ve been busy bringing joy and support wherever we can:

✨ Monthly Nonprofit Days at Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home and Tennille Retirement Home.
✨ Annual Senior Aerobics in the Park to keep our community active.
✨ Community Gatherings that bring us all together, including our Senior Blast from the Past Dance, the Ugly Sweater Christmas Party, and our Easter Egg Extravaganza in the Park.
✨ Feeding the Community initiatives to ensure no neighbor goes without.

This mission wouldn't be possible without our dedicated leadership.

As we go about our busy lives, let's take a moment to think about the elders in our community. They have so much wisdom to share, and their stories are the fabric of our neighborhoods. But sometimes, they need a helping hand.

🤗 Here are a few simple ways you can make a big impact:

1. Check In: A friendly phone call or visit can brighten their day!
2. Run Errands: Offer to shop for groceries or pick up medications.
3. Share a Meal: Invite them over for lunch or just share a cup of tea.
4. Volunteer: Join local organizations that support elderly care.
5. Share Your Skills:*Offer to teach them something new, like technology or a hobby!

Let's come together to uplift our elders and show them the love and respect they deserve. Share your experiences and tag someone who inspires you to make a difference! 💖

The first nonprofit day of 2026 was an unforgettable experience. We had the pleasure of hosting enjoyable activities at Tennille Retirement Home, which included games that promoted hand-eye coordination and arm mobility, as well as a classic game of bingo.

A powerful message was shared by Pastor Harold Gilmore of Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home, highlighting the significance of being receptive to God's Word.
