Today we’re celebrating one of our very own!

Dear Mama contributor Bry has officially become a published author, and we could not be more excited for her.

Her journey is a beautiful reminder that where you’ve been does not determine where your story ends. There can be healing. There can be growth. There can be new beginnings. And sometimes, you get to pick up the pen and write the next chapter yourself.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mama… 🤍

The celebrated mama.
The exhausted mama.
The healing mama.
The grieving mama.
The working mama.
The single mama.
The bonus mama.
The grandmother.
The teacher loving on children as if they were her own.
And the mama simply trying her best to balance it all.

Today reminded me of something…

Motherhood is beautiful, but it can also be heavy.

A lot of us spend so much time pouring into everyone else that we forget to pour back into ourselves. We become so focused on surviving, working, providing, nurturing, protecting, and holding everything together that somewhere along the way… we forget about us.

And that’s a part of what Dear Mama is truly about.

Not perfection.
Not pretending to have it all together.
But creating space for mothers to be honest about the balancing act that motherhood can sometimes become.

Because behind every strong mama is still a woman learning, healing, growing, rebuilding, and rediscovering herself too.

Dear Mama was created from real life. Real emotions. Real struggles. Real love. And although the journey of building it has not always been easy, one thing I know for sure is this:

This is bigger than a book.

It’s a space for mothers to feel seen. Heard. Supported. And reminded that they are more than just what they carry for everyone else.

So today, I simply want to say:

Overwhelming.
Heartbreaking.
Heavy.

The expectation to make and maintain the magic for all the little people looking to you to keep it going, to keep it bright, can feel like the weight of the world is sitting on your shoulders.
