We picture soldiers as invincible heroes, the ones who carry everyone else. Then they come home, and the reality of what they experienced comes home with them.

This Sunday, join us for “Heroes and Healing,” a community lunch and remembrance marking October 7 and honoring those who have given so much for our people. IDF Capt. Benaya Cherlow and leaders of Restart, Mashiv Haruach, and Yoav’s Path, three Israeli organizations helping soldiers and survivors heal, will speak openly about trauma and recovery. Because even heroes need healing.

Capt. Benaya Cherlow’s mother is from Beirut. His father is American. When October 7 came, he answered the call and went to fight in Gaza and along the Lebanese border, in the land his mother’s family once called home.

This Sunday, he comes to Atlanta to tell that story at “Heroes and Healing,” a community lunch and remembrance. Leaders of three Israeli organizations helping soldiers and survivors heal will be there with him.

This Tuesday we're welcoming Jacqueline Saper to Atlanta. Jacqueline grew up Jewish in Tehran and lived through Iran's Islamic Revolution.

Eight years under a regime marked by chants of "Death to Israel" and "Death to America."

She eventually fled with her children and two suitcases.

Her story is remarkable. And her lived experience makes her uniquely qualified to answer the question we're all asking: can Iran ever be free again?

TONIGHT: Meet Israel’s Olympic Hero!

Jared Firestone is a nice Jewish boy from South Florida.

After suffering a stroke in his 20s, he chose to turn that setback into something more.

He discovered the high-speed sport of skeleton, with a dream of representing Israel.

His dream became reality in February, when he represented Israel at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, proudly carrying Israel’s flag before the world.

And tonight, he will share his story.
