Wilderness Photography Foundation Using the visual power and art of photography to help inspire the preservation of today’s wilderness for future generations

The Wilderness Photography Foundation is a group dedicated to promoting environmental advocacy through fine art nature photography. We believe that photography can not only record the beauty of countless ecosystems in peril but also motivate public involvement in protecting these fragile spaces.

Environmental decisions have often been presented as progress for both nature and humanity, yet many have fallen short or produced unintended consequences. Nature does not need mankind to reshape or “improve” it, what it needs is mankind to learn how to live within it. The natural world sustained itself for countless generations before human intervention, and despite the damage inflicted upon it, nature continues to offer mankind a second chance. Rather than attempting to control or alter the natural world to fit our desires, perhaps our greatest responsibility is to recognize this opportunity and to respect nature’s balance, understand our place within it, and learn to live in harmony with the very systems that continue to sustain us.
This video from American Rivers is an inspiring example:

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there, the women who can hear a child opening a snack from three rooms away.
Being a mother is one of the hardest jobs on Earth: no vacation days, no sick leave, and the pay is usually a handmade card with macaroni glued to it.
Mothers spend years feeding us, cleaning up after us, teaching us right from wrong, and pretending to believe, “It wasn’t me.” Every family has that one child only a mother could love, the one who ate crayons, got stuck in a bucket, and thought jumping off the roof with an umbrella was a solid plan. Everyone else shook their heads, but Mom said, “That’s my baby.”
A mother’s love is patient, unconditional, and apparently blind to common sense. Happy Mother’s Day to the women who survived motherhood with their sense of humor mostly intact. You deserve a wonderful day and at least one meal where nobody yells, “Mom!” from the other room.

If you are not aware of what is happening, we have another mining proposal that threatens our public lands. See more here - https://www.courthousenews.com/senate-republicans-scrap-mining-ban-in-minnesotas-boundary-waters-preserve

Right now Minnesota has one last line of defense to protect the Boundary Waters. The Minnesota Department of National Resources can cancel Twin Metals’ state mineral lease. But, they will only do this if we make it impossible for them to avoid us.

Email: [email protected] and Call 651-259-5555 to tell the Minnesota DNR to cancel the Twin Metals lease and protect the Boundary Waters while there’s still time. The DNR has both the authority and fiduciary duty to cancel this lease.

The Boundary Waters is irreplaceable, and everyone must stand up against a relentless federal assault on our clean water and public land. When short-term profit leads to long-term destruction, the cost is not paid by nature alone. It is paid by future generations, by global stability, by food and water security, and by the vast majority of life that never had a voice in the decision. Please let your voice be heard.

Thank-You Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock for voting NO on this Bill
Everyone who cares about the destruction of America's ecosystems should be very concerned about this situation and do what you can to let your voice be heard.
