MYSO is dedicated to providing unrivaled music-making in a supportive environment fostering creativity and camaraderie while instilling a love of music.

Welcome to The Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra of Atlanta! MYSO Atlanta is a community-based youth orchestra driven to provide young students with an opportunity to accelerate their music education in a full orchestra setting. MYSO students regularly engage directly with local professional musicians to prepare and perform at least three annual public concerts. Now in its 32nd season, MYSO is a fundamental part of the youth music development community in the city of Atlanta.

We are so excited to feature Charlotte Rogers - winner of our 2026 Concerto Competition - on our upcoming concert on May 3, 2026!

Charlotte will be performing Concertino pour flûte, Op.107 by Cécile Chaminade alongside the MYSO Symphony Orchestra.

About Charlotte...
Charlotte Rogers is a flutist from Buford, Georgia, currently serving as Principal Flute of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Symphony Orchestra and winner of the 2026 MYSO Concerto Competition. She previously performed as Associate Principal Flute with the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra Philharmonic and has also appeared with GYSO’s Camerata Orchestra and Flute Choir. In addition, she has performed with the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony Young Artists Ensemble and served as Principal Flute at the University of Georgia Summer Music Camp and Encore Band Camp. Charlotte is also a member of the Wind Ensemble at Buford High School.
