🏛️ GHPCO on Capitol Hill — Advocating for Hospice!

GHPCO was proud to participate in the National Alliance for Care at Home’s Hill Day, joining hospice advocates from across the country to make sure the voices of hospice providers, patients, and families were heard in Washington, D.C.

Representing Georgia were Paula Sanders, CEO of GHPCO; Jennifer Elliott, Executive Director of Heart of Georgia Hospice; and Emily Lennon, Director of Compliance at Family Hospice.

One of our key advocacy priorities was urging lawmakers to allow the current hospice enrollment moratorium to expire at the end of its initial six-month term rather than extend it.

📣 Advocacy matters — and every voice makes a difference. We encourage Georgia’s hospice and palliative care community to stay informed, engage with elected officials, and continue sharing how policy decisions affect access to high-quality end-of-life care for patients and families across our state.

Together, we can ensure hospice has a strong voice at the table when decisions affecting our patients, families, providers, and communities are being made.

We had a wonderful time advocating on behalf of Georgia’s hospice community and were excited to snap a quick photo with Congressman Mike Collins while on Capitol Hill! 📸
