They came as youth volunteers. They left as changemakers. ❤️
A huge thank you to our incredible youth volunteers at the SSF Impact Gala – Portland 2026!
They stepped up, took responsibility, completed tasks, solved problems, supported the adult volunteers, and, in many ways, took the stress out of the day for us! 😄
They didn’t wait to be told what to do. They saw what needed to be done and simply got on with it.
Today, they are SSF Impact Gala Volunteers. Very soon, we hope to formally welcome them into the SSF STEM & Training Volunteer community, where they can continue to learn, mentor, contribute and create impact.
Because this is how young people grow.
You start early. You learn to serve. You learn to give without expecting anything in return. And somewhere along the way, you discover that you have the power to make a difference.
A special shout-out to their parents too. 👏 Behind every young person who volunteers with enthusiasm and responsibility is a family that has encouraged them to give their time, step outside their comfort zone and understand the importance of giving back to society.
We are proud to have these young volunteers as part of the SSF family — and excited to see them grow into the leaders and changemakers of tomorrow.
Thank you for showing us that age is never a barrier to impact.
