We'll be out with the Lions Atkinson Lions Club Saturday, March 28th, 8-Noon at the Atkinson Community Center. Come say hello and bring your non-expired food items!

🚨Atkinson Lions Club & Cub Scouts Pack 95 Community Food Drive🚨

The Atkinson Lions Club, together with Atkinson Cub Scouts Pack 95, is excited to host a Community Food Drive to support local food pantries and veterans!

📅 Saturday, March 28

⏰ 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

📍 Atkinson Community Center
4 Main Street, Atkinson

Just drive into the parking lot and drop off your donations — Lions members and Cub Scouts will be there to greet you and collect the items.

Donations will support the St. Luke’s and St. Anne’s Food Pantries, along with Liberty House in Manchester, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans.

Some of the most helpful items include canned meals, peanut butter, jelly, soups, pasta sauce, boxed meals, pancake mix, crackers, coffee, tea, and other non-perishable foods.

We are also accepting:
• Clothing (jeans size 34 or smaller, sweatshirts)
• Hygiene products
• Gift cards to supermarkets or gas stations
• Monetary donations

Every donation makes a difference, and we truly appreciate the continued generosity of the Atkinson community.

Old scouts and new scouts alike got to try archery and other fun activities last night! Thanks to all who came out, especially our volunteer range master, and scouts from Troop 9 who helped us out.

Join us on Thursday, September 18 at 5:30 p.m. for a fun evening to learn about Cub Scouts in Atkinson! We will meet at Woodlock Park Pavilion (88 Woodlock Park Lane, Atkinson, NH) to kick of the year, with Archery and BB Ranges set up, the gaga pit going, and a sweet treat for all to enjoy. We welcome anyone interested in scouting, as well as their entire family. Current scouts will be there as well, and will receive their new ranks and badges from last year.

Need details about the cub scout uniform (Grade 1-3)?

New scouts should purchase the following:
1. Cub Scout Short Sleeve Uniform Shirt, Youth SKU: 650111

Tip: Buy it large so that it does not need to be replaced every year, and you will not have to remove and re-sew patches

2. 1910 World Crest Ring Patch SKU: 619748 / World Crest Scout Emblem SKU: 143 (these are joined as one at the Manchester store).

3. Daniel Webster Council New Hampshire Patch SKU: 16330

4. 95 Patch SKU: 10405 and 10406

5. Belt SKU: 646297 or similar (scouts earn adventure loops at each den meeting that go on their belts).

Items you need to buy may be purchased online www.scoutshop.org OR in person at the Manchester Scout Shop located at Camp Carpenter: 300 Blondin Rd, Manchester, NH 03109 https://nhscouting.org/scout-shop/ . The Scout Shop in Manchester will sew on the patches for you for a fee. They will also help you find everything you need.

Kindergarteners aka Lions: You just need Lion T-Shirt, Item: 634728, and the belt mentioned above.

For All : Hats are optional, but many of our scouts do wear them. Uniform pants are also optional. Most of our scouts do not have the uniform pant.

Are you curious about the cost of scouting?

New scouts have a one-time joining fee of $25.

We estimate National and Daniel Webster Council annual fees will be around $182 for 2024.

Additionally, Pack 95 had annual dues of $95 which cover items like workbooks, neckerchiefs, slides, rocket kits, pinewood derby kits, and supplies for den and pack activities.

Parents also need to buy a few uniform basics. We ask that scouts get a cub scout shirt and belt. They can be purchased at the Manchester Scout Shop https://nhscouting.org/scout-shop/ in person or online at www.scoutshop.org . See the post on uniforms for more information.

The Pack and our chartering organization, The Atkinson Lions Club, offer hardship scholarships. Please contact Pack 95 leadership if you need financial assistance to participate in scouting.
