Hi AYBS Families,

We are holding our make-up session for the Quintown District 8U Team Tryouts tomorrow! This session is to replace the second day of tryouts that was unfortunately canceled earlier this month due to rain.

Here are the details for tomorrow afternoon:

When: Tomorrow, Friday, May 29th, 2026

Time: 4:30 PM

Where: Woodlock Park (Atkinson, NH)

Please note that this tryout is strictly for 8U players only. Unfortunately, 7U players are not eligible to participate.

This week our two Atkinson 10U teams faced off at Woodlock Park. The Angels won 8-3 against the Astros.

The Angels jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after M. Hall doubled, scoring three runs, and a steal of home scored one run.

Atkinson Angels 10U added one run in the second after Julia H walked. The Angels extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI steals of home by L. Nastari and M. DeBenedetto. L. Silva, M. Hall, and M. Lefavour each collected one hit.

M. Lefavour struck out six over the course of 3 innings. L. Atkins started in the circle for the Astros. She pitched 2 innings and struck out four. L. George also pitched 2 innings to close out the game and took down 5 batters with strikeouts.

K. DeBlois and L. George were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for the Astros. L. George led the Astros with two hits in two at bats. S. Pascucci stole two bases.

This group of kids is very special and ended the game celebrating together with some water balloon fun!

Atkinson Angels 10U beat the Sandown Cyclones on Monday 9-3.

The Angels got on the board in the top of the first inning after M. Hall walked, J. Hiort doubled to right field, and L. Nastari flew out, each scoring one run.

M. Lefavour started in the circle for the Angels and had 8 strikeouts against the Cyclones. M. DeBenedetto had 1 strikeout in the inning she pitched as well.

O. Lopes, Q. Moore, and J. Hiort each collected one hit for the Angels. The Atkinson Angels stole 29 bases in the game.

The Atkinson Angels 10U fell to Plaistow Blaze 8-4 last Thursday at their home opener.

M. Lefavour led the Atkinson Angels with one hit in two at bats. She also had 4 strikeouts and no walks.

Q. Moore, L. Silva, M. Hall, M. Lefavour, and J. Hiort each stole multiple bases for the Angels. The Angels had a strong eye at the plate, piling up five walks for the game and tallying 15 stolen bases for the game.

Next up for Atkinson Angels 10U is a game at the Sandown Cyclones today. Good luck today girls!

The Atkinson Astros finished the week 1-1, with a 6-4 win over Sandown. In their game against Plaistow L. George struck out 4 batters and pitched 2 innings. L. George, H. DiBella, and B. Smith all drove in a run.

Congrats to this 10U team for a strong start to the season!

Come get a jump start on the 2026 season, have some fun and improve your softball skills! The Southern NH Softball League will run a series of fundamental clinics for registered SNHSL District players ages 7 to 16 beginning in March.

CLINIC LOCATION:

Sundays beginning March 1st – April 12, 2026

⚾️ Fantastic opportunity to play some fun and high level summer baseball!
⚾️ Tryouts are competitive and typically consist of a hitting, fielding, and pitching evaluation. Players should come ready to play with all necessary equipment (helmet, glove, bat), change of shoes for indoors, and hat.

SNOW UPDATE: Evaluations are still on as scheduled today!

Softball: 2:30–4:00 PM (8U, 10U, and 12U)
SB Pitchers: 4:00-4:30

Baseball: 4:30–6:00 PM (Minors, Majors 60, and Majors 70)

A few quick reminders to help everything run smoothly:
--> You will use the high school gym foyer doors (Door- B9) when you arrive. Please check in and then families can meet in the cafeteria. Players should bring a second pair of clean, dry sneakers to change into before entering the gym.

--> To help keep the gym floor safe and dry, parents will not be able to join us in the gym during evaluations. Parents will be able to wait in the cafeteria during evals.

Thank you for your help keeping the space safe and ready for a great evaluation day. We can’t wait to see everyone!

Registration closes this Sunday 2/1/26.

Evaluations for softball and baseball will be 2/7/26 at the TRHS gym. All returning softball players 6U-12U and all baseball players rookie level and up must attend. More info will be provided via email after registration.
