To simplify getting updates on Embrace and Wild Hope, we have combined pages. We hope by doing this it will be easier to access the "goings-on" of the ministry as a whole. You can view the page on Instagram or Facebook under "Embrace Equine Ministry | Wild Hope".

Here at Embrace, we minister to organizations and groups. Through our one-on-one program, Wild Hope, we serve individuals in private sessions with a session leader and horse leader.

Wild Page's FB page will remain up, but going forward, all posts will be on Embrace Equine Ministry - Wild Hope

Excellent article on how horses can make an impact on people who are hurting. What is even more beautiful, is that God designed these animals with this purpose in mind!

At Wild Hope, our goal is to prayerfully facilitate these interactions between our participants and the horses. No two sessions are alike, as Holy Spirit moves through them, leading to amazing moments of connection, healing, and hope.

If you or someone you love could benefit from this, please visit https://www.embraceequineministry.org/wild-hope to start an application.

If you feel called to help out at Wild Hope, or our overhead ministry Embrace Equine Ministry, please visit us at https://www.embraceequineministry.org/ to apply as a volunteer.

As a natural horsemanship clinician for more than two decades, I have learned that horses can help people become not only better riders but better partners, friends and parents.

As an extension of the EMBRACE Ministry, our Wild Hope program desires to reach out to individuals, families, first-responders, and veterans through relationship-centered and Christ-centered experiences (Psalm 147:3).

We utilize horses that were previously untouched to help facilitate Holy Spirit-led sessions. Our intention is to connect with those who are hurting, assist in the gentling and re-homing of horses in need, and share the love and good news of Jesus Christ, who is the ultimate healer (Isaiah 53:5).

This program is provided free-of-charge, donations optional, thanks to our volunteers ambassadorship in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). These horses will learn to build trust and, in turn, be able to find lifelong loving homes. Session participants will be guided through FBEAP certified sessions that will help in trauma-informed relationship healing, ultimately pointing back to the healing arms of Christ.

"One does not know whether the width or the depth of this marvelous promise is the more noteworthy. Jesus Christ presents Himself before the whole race of man, and declares Himself able to deal with the needs of every individual in the tremendous whole. ‘If any man’-no matter who, where, when.

For all noble and happy life there are at least three things needed: security, sustenance, and a field for the exercise of activity. To provide these is the end of all human society and government. Jesus Christ here says that He can give all these to every one.

The imagery of the sheep and the fold is still, of course, in His mind, and colours the form of the representation. But the substance is the declaration that, to any and every soul, no matter how ringed about with danger, no matter how hampered and hindered in work, no matter how barren of all supply earth may be, He will give these, the primal requisites of life. ‘He shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.’

Now I only wish to deal with these three aspects of the blessedness of a true Christian life which our Lord holds forth here as accessible to us all: security, the unhindered exercise of activity, and sustenance or provision."

-Alexander MacLaren {1826-1910}

Summarized in modern English, Jesus offers us safety, freedom, and compassionate care when we respond to His Gospel. As horse owners and handlers, we try to emulate that care in how we tend to our animals, as God gave us charge of the earth and its livestock in the beginning. Sometimes horses don't trust people (that can be for many reasons) and it can take months of consistency to earn that trust. In that process we might get discouraged, or even doubt anything will change. But one day, that horse will surprise you and realize that you aren't out to get them. Often you'll have that horse's loyalty for life.

Now imagine Jesus, who doesn't tired out, give up, or consider you a "lost cause". He is perfectly patient and understanding. He will wait and He will show you that He is absolutely trustworthy. He knows you better than you know yourself, and knows exactly what you need moment to moment. He laid His life down for you, and there is no one that loves you more than He does.

We only need to take His hand, and step into the fulfilling life He has for us in Him. Trust Him, and find those lush, green pastures.

Prayer is a powerful tool that God works through. He technically doesn't need us to accomplish anything, yet, He lovingly wants us to participate in His work in this world and our lives. A big way we accomplish this is through prayer. It is also our direct communication line to the God of the universe, how amazing is that?

If we're anxious, pray (Philippians 4:6)
When we don't know what to say, pray, Holy Spirit will help you (Romans 8:26)
When we've messed up, pray (James 5:16)
When you're tempted to fall off the wagon, pray (Matthew 26:41)
When we have requests, pray (Mark 11:24)
When life is good, pray (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
When life is not good, pray (Psalms 102:17)
When you need to grow, pray (Romans 12:2)
When enemies assail you, pray (Matthew 5:44)

In essence, there is always an occasion to pray. And prayer can be done anywhere, anytime. He is always there, ready to listen, wanting to hear from you, wanting to build relationship with you. You might not get an immediate answer, but just remember that God is never late, we just can't see His timing.

If you struggle with prayer, try to find a place that is quiet, and talk as if you were talking to a close friend (Often Jesus retreated to solitude to pray to His Father). He doesn't expect you to be perfect, use lofty words, or be there for hours. Often, just expressing gratitude is a great way to get momentum in the conversation. It is a practice that gets easier with time, and He sees our hearts as we figure it out, smiling as His beloved child draws close to Him.

Psalms 145:18
"The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth."
