Hospice of Limestone County is exploring the possibility of bringing back a community Bereavement Support Group and would love to hear from those who may benefit.

If you have experienced the loss of a loved one, we invite you to join us for this interest and brainstorm meeting as we discuss how a support group can best serve the needs of our community.

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR OUR VETERANS HOME REPAIR PROGRAM

Habitat for Humanity of the River Valley is offering free home repairs and energy efficient upgrades for veterans in Madison, Limestone, and Jackson Counties. Applications will be accepted until all designated funding is allocated.

We offer minor repairs excluding flooring, roofs, and walls. The following repair services are available for eligible applicants:
• Gutters
• Water Heaters
• Porch Repairs/Installations
• Door/Storm Door Replacements
• Handrails
• Grab Bars
• Attic Insulation
• Smoke Detectors
• Other Repairs Approved on Case-by-Case Basis
(This list of available services is subject to change.)

Sometimes it’s the little things — a walk, a favorite song, journaling, prayer, staying busy, or simply allowing yourself to rest — that help carry us through the hardest days.
