Medflight 3 out of Pomeroy landing in front of ACEMS ST. 55 and Albany Area Volunteer Fire Department to return some borrowed equipment. Multiple stations have had different encounters with medflight today. Luckily we have resources and good relationships with different agencies to provide the best care to our county residents and visitors. Medflight Thank you for the assistance today.

June is national PTSD awareness month.

As first responders, we witness traumatic events that most people will never experience. PTSD is real and seeking help is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of strength

This is a challenging fight that a lot of first responders as well as many veterans face every day. This month we want to remind everybody to check on one another and support your brothers and sisters. No one fights alone.

This memorial day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their everything to protect their county and community’s.

As we reflect on this Memorial Day, we are reminded daily of those within our own EMS family whose absence is felt heavy this year.

This year, we remember Paramedic Monica Perani who tragically lost her life back in September while traveling home after serving our Community. Monica dedicated herself to caring for others through her work at Athens County EMS. Her compassion, professionalism, and commitment to helping others was unmatched. She left a lasting impact on those she served, and the coworkers she got to work alongside. We miss you everyday.

Today we remember those of whom we have lost, while keeping the families, friends and loved ones in our thoughts.

Gone but never forgotten!

It’s officially EMS week! Athens County EMS IAFF local 5126 would like to wish all EMS providers a happy EMS week. It’s such a honor to be able to serve our communities and give back.

Our providers work long hours, miss holidays, and face challenging situations to ensure the safety of our communities and providing the best care possible.
