We're looking for a gently used bike to donate to an adult participant in New Leaf. A reliable bike can make a meaningful difference by providing transportation to work, appointments, and other important daily activities.

This month, our team had the opportunity to participate in a mock Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (SAFE) at O'Bleness.

Experiences like this give our advocates a better understanding of what survivors can expect during a SAFE exam, helping us provide more informed support when someone chooses to seek medical care after an assault.

Thank you to **Bri** and **Rebecca** for taking the time to walk us through the newly renovated SAFE exam room, answer our questions, and share their knowledge. We appreciate the strong partnership with our local healthcare providers and every opportunity to learn together so we can better serve survivors in our community.

We are still looking for an outdoor picnic table for a family in SAOP's New Leaf program. Something as simple as a place to sit together outside can make a meaningful difference for a family working to build stability and create positive memories at home.

If you have a picnic table in good condition that you'd be willing to donate, please email [email protected] or call (740) 277-8864.

A participant in SAOP's New Leaf program will soon have all of their children together for four straight weeks of visitation. We're looking for grocery gift card donations to help keep the fridge stocked and ease some of the financial pressure during this important time for their family.

No amount is too small. If you'd like to contribute, please email [email protected] or call (740) 277-8864.

One of the families participating in SAOP's New Leaf program is looking for an outdoor picnic table to create a welcoming space for family meals, conversations, and time together.

If you have a gently used picnic table that you no longer need and would be willing to donate, we would love to connect with you. Donations like these help families build comfort, stability, and connection as they work toward their goals.

Please email [email protected] or call (740) 277-8864 if you can help.

Last month, the SAOP team participated in the "Be Seen in Green" initiative as part of Mental Health Awareness Month.

While May may be over, the importance of mental health awareness continues year-round. Every day, our staff works alongside survivors, families, youth, and community members who remind us that mental health is not just a monthly conversation. It's part of overall well-being, healing, and recovery.

We're proud to have joined organizations across our region in showing visible support for mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging people to seek help when they need it.

A participant in SAOP's New Leaf program is preparing to have all of their children together for an extended four-week visitation this summer. Grocery gift cards would help make sure the family can focus on spending quality time together without the added stress of stretching an already tight budget.

Gift cards to local grocery stores of any amount are greatly appreciated.

If you'd like to help, please email [email protected] or call (740) 277-8864.

SAOP is currently collecting personal hygiene items to help support survivors in need throughout our community.

Many individuals accessing services may be leaving unsafe situations with very few personal belongings. Having basic hygiene items available can help provide comfort, dignity, and immediate support during difficult moments.

We are especially in need of:
• Toothbrushes
• Toothpaste
• Bar soap & body wash
• Deodorant (men’s & women’s)
• Feminine hygiene products
• Pads (various sizes)
• Tampons
• Panty liners

Donations of any kind are appreciated, including monetary contributions that allow us to purchase urgently needed items as needs arise.

If you would like to donate, please contact SAOP or stop by during business hours. Thank you for helping us care for survivors in our community.

Email [email protected] or call (740) 591-4266 to make your donation today.
