Alabama just got a national vote of confidence from the most powerful banker in America.

In his recent annual shareholder letter and through a new national workforce initiative, JPMorgan Chase Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon highlighted Alabama as a state uniquely positioned to help solve America’s growing labor shortages in critical industries like advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defense, energy, and technology.

“A prosperous job market is the foundation of a strong economy – and in Alabama, demand is high for skilled workers, especially those who can perform technical work in the industries that are vital for America’s security and local economic growth,” Dimon said.

Limestone County EDA was proud to welcome Representative Dale Strong for two industry tours right here in Limestone County.

The first is with Exalta Group. They are a global MedTech solutions provider located in the city of Athens. General Manager David Brackeen showcased world class medical devices that are manufactured in Athens-Limestone County.

The second tour was with Carpenter Technology Corporation in unincorporated Limestone County. They are a global leader in high-performance specialty alloy-based materials and process solutions for critical applications in the aerospace, transportation, defense, energy, industrial, medical, and consumer electronics markets. The Carpenter Tech delegation, including General Manager Tony Campbell, gave an extensive tour of the on-site operations.

We’re thankful for Rep. Strong’s willingness to see — up close — why Limestone County continues to be a destination for world-class industry.
