🔥🚒 Fire Safety Education Day! 🚒🔥

East Limestone Fire Department had a great morning at Lindsay Lane Christian Academy, talking with the kids about the importance of fire safety and what to do in an emergency.

Chief Roberts and Firefighter Alexander gave the students an up-close look at what a firefighter looks like while wearing full turnout gear. This helps children understand that firefighters may look and sound different in their gear, but they are there to help during an emergency.

East Limestone Fire Department always enjoys the opportunity to spend time with our community and educate our young people about fire safety. Teaching these important lessons early can make a difference when seconds count.

A big thank you to Lindsay Lane Christian Academy for having us! 🚒❤️

Heartwarming update! 🛑❤️

Recently, our crew had the privilege of reuniting with a very special member of our community, McKenna Lewis.

On August 15, 2026, 28-year-old McKenna was traveling through our coverage area when she experienced a sudden medical emergency that resulted in cardiac arrest. East Limestone Volunteer Fire Department personnel responded quickly, providing CPR and using an AED to successfully reset her heart rhythm and restore her pulse.

Getting to see McKenna smiling, recovering, and thriving is the ultimate reward for our firefighters and first responders. It’s moments like this that remind us exactly why we do what we do.

Please join us in wishing McKenna continued health, strength, and happiness in her recovery!

Moments like these highlight how vital early CPR and accessible AEDs are in saving lives. Consider getting CPR certified, you could save a neighbor, a loved one, or a stranger traveling through our area.
