Mrs. Judy is the mother of one of our captains, and it’s always a great time when she comes around and spends time with the department. She brings a smile, plenty of laughs, and is always a welcome part of our fire department family!

East Limestone Fire Department is currently on the scene of a single-vehicle motor vehicle accident on Highway 72 in the area of Holiday Boulevard.
Our crews are currently working the scene and assessing the situation. Please use caution when traveling through the area, as emergency personnel are on the roadway.

Update on today’s crash.

The patient was transported in stable condition, and we are hopeful he makes a full recovery. Given the damage to that vehicle, that is nothing short of a blessing.

Scene is clear. Units are back in service. Keep him in your prayers as he heals.

Thank you to everyone who slowed down and gave our crews room to work.

ACTIVE SCENE UPDATE

East Limestone Volunteer Fire Department is still on scene at Highway 72 at the intersection of Sloane Road for a vehicle versus box truck accident.

One patient has been transported by Athens EMS.

One lane of traffic remains closed on Highway 72 Westbound. Expect delays and seek an alternate route if possible.

If you are traveling through this area, slow down, move over, and watch for emergency personnel working in and around the roadway. Give our crews the room they need to work safely.
