🚗☀️ Today’s the day… INTERN MOVE-IN DAY! 🎉

Our summer staff is officially arriving at camp, and we could not be more excited for everything this season has in store. From late night games and worship to cabin chats and crazy camp memories, summer 2026 starts NOW. 💚

Be praying for our interns as they settle in, build community, and prepare to make a huge impact on campers this summer! 🏕️

Give a warm welcome to the dynamic duo, Jeff and Polly Goodier, hailing from FCC Lufkin! Polly is set to co-direct Grand Camp, while Jeff will be one of the enthusiastic counselors.

These two are no strangers to the great outdoors, boasting a treasure trove of camping adventures and a passion for Disciples Crossing. Back in the 90s and early 2000s, Polly was the go-to gal for counseling and directing Jr. Camp during her time as the Children’s Minister at FCC Lufkin. They’ve happily whisked the JYFers off to Rallies at Disciples Crossing and have even made cherished family memories camping at DC. Their boys were frequent visitors at Camp in Athens, long before it became Disciples Crossing!

By the time Grand Camp arrives, Jeff and Polly will be basking in the joys of retirement! With a travel trailer in tow, they’re all about exploring cool summer spots and soaking up the sun in warmer locales during winter.

They can’t wait to reconnect with both the young and the young-at-heart campers at Grand Camp!

She’s bringing the energy, the laughs, and a whole lot of camp spirit to Disciples Crossing this summer 💪🔥 We’re so glad you’re here, Rees!

"Hi everybody! I’m Rees Runnels, and I’m super excited to be an intern this summer at one of my favorite places on earth! I just finished my freshman year at UT (hook ‘em!) studying film! I love movies, watching sports, and being outdoors. I’ve been going to camp since I was in kindergarten, and I’m excited to give back to a place that has given me so much. Can’t wait for this summer and ready to make it the best!"

Family Camp at Disciples Crossing 🏕️
Dates: May 29-31

This camp is for families of all ages as long as one child attending is under the age of 18 and one adult is over the age of 21. Families come to rest, play and worship together. This camp includes two overnights and group programming with other families.

"Hi everybody!! My name is Caroline Rose, and I am beyond thrilled to serve as an intern this summer here at Disciples Crossing! I’m currently a freshman at TCU (this still hasn’t hit me yet) studying psychology to hopefully become a child psychologist! I love playing pickleball, making connections and bible studies (and obviously camp!) Going to disciples crossing has been one of the highlights of my life, and to be able to serve here means so so much to me!! I can’t wait to see everyone's shining faces at camp, and can’t wait to have the best summer ever :)"
