Chartered in 1974, on the campus of the University of Georgia, Zeta Nu has worked diligently for the past 49 years to create a "Culture for Service" in both the university and Athens-Clarke County communities. We truly pride ourselves on the work we do to bring the light of Sigma to others as one

Congratulations to Bro. Asuagbor Asuagbor S.K.A. ODEΣHI, who graduated with a B.S.B.E. in Biological Engineering from the University of Georgia.

In the chapter, he served as 2nd Vice President and Social Action Co-Chair for the 2025-2026 school year.

Some of his favorite moments from the chapter include bring in the SPR 26 line, the Blu and White Ball, and the community service events.

Outside the chapter, his notable roles include:
Co-President of the Engineers Council
Undergraduate researcher in the Gomillion Lab
Camper for the Guide Dog Foundation ()

After graduation, Asu plans to complete his M.S. in Biological Engineering

Treasurer and Secretary for the 2025-2026 school year.

Some of his favorite moments from the chapter include Splash A Sigma, The Blu and White Ball, and helping to cross SPR’ 26.

Outside the chapter, his notable roles include:
VP of Finance for the National Pan-Hellenic Council
Transfer Out for UGA Bridge
Community Service Chair for Black Male Leadership Society

After graduation, Jared plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Administration at Georgia State University!

Congratulations to Bro. Chase Blackwell S.K.A. Σupreme Nova, who graduated with a B.S. in Psychology and minors in Human Services and Theatre from the University of Georgia.

In the chapter, he served as
1st Vice President, Social Action Chair, and Secretary for the 2024-2025 school year. During the 2025-2026 school year he served as Chapter President, Co-Social Action Chair, and Stroll Master

Some of his favorite moments from the chapter include the Blue and White Ball and NPHC Basketball Game

Outside the chapter, his notable roles include:
Resident Assistant in Russell Hall, Ambassador for the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, Research Assistant for the Leadership and Performance Development Lab, Ronald E. McNair Research Scholar

After graduation, Chase will be pursuing his Masters degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University.

The Zeta Nu Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. is proud to celebrate our Brother, Spring 2003 initiate Donald “DJ” Shockley Jr. Σ.K.A A.D.I.D.A.Σ for delivering the commencement address for Spring 2026 University of Georgia graduation ceremony.

Brother DJ is a SEC championship MVP quarterback for the University of Georgia football team, who would go on to be drafted by the Atlanta Falcons. Following his playing career, DJ has continued to be involved with sports, becoming an analyst for FOX 5 and contributing to coverage of UGA and Atlanta Falcons football.
This work has won him Three Emmy awards.

Many congratulations to a Brother who continues to represent excellence, leadership, and the legacy of our chapter!
