"Many of my students won't qualify to go to a four year school out of high school. That's a systemic inequity that I can't fix. But I try to teach my students that that doesn't make them any less valuable in society, or any less of a person. I try to teach them that developing a skill, and nurturing it is just as worthy of respect and praise."
