The Center for Student Legal Services at Ohio University We are a non-profit organization that provides legal services to Ohio University students.

The Center for Student Legal Services has been providing Ohio University students with affordable legal assistance since 1997. We are a non-profit organization that is funded entirely by student enrollment in our program. Students can choose to enroll in the program as an option on their semesterly tuition bill. The cost of enrollment is $15 per semester effective Fall 2019, including the summer session.

Meet the next member of our Board of Directors, Laurel Zarbaugh!

Laurel is a junior English pre-law student also pursuing a minor in political science and a certificate in Law, Justice, and Culture. She served a one-year term on the CSLS 2022-2023 Board of Directors and is now serving another one-year term for the 2023-2024 Board. Laurel works as a peer tutor at the Academic Achievement Center and is a legal intern at Adam Baker Attorney & Counselor at Law in Athens. She is passionate about gaining real-world experience and hopefully continuing her education after she graduates in the Spring. In her spare time, Laurel enjoys going to Ginger and spending time with friends!

Our next board member to introduce is Garrett Meek!

Garrett is a Junior from Columbus, Ohio, double majoring in Finance and Strategic Leadership/ Management and pursuing a sales certificate. Garrett is one of two student members on the Board of Trustees, an Account Management with the Schey Sales Centre, and the Interval Vice President of Pi Kappa Alpha, he also serves as both the VP of finance and administration as well as VP of Recruitment for the Interfraternity Council. Outside of school, Garrett enjoys fishing, watching college football, and spending time with his family.

Meet the next member of our Board of Directors, Victoria Copeland.

Victoria is a Junior Political Science and Communication Studies undergraduate student with a certificate in Law, Justice, and Culture. Along with serving as a board member, she is also an office assistant in the College of Arts and Sciences History department, section leader in the Marching 110, and member of the OU Speech and Forensics Team. Outside of class, her hobbies include a love of reading, music, and crafts. Victoria is currently serving the first year of her two-year term with CSLS and is looking forward to working with her fellow board members for the 2023-2024 year.

Shywann is a junior studying Political Science Pre-law with a minor in Philosophy and will be receiving a certificate in Forensic Studies. She is the Director for Students Defending Students as well as a member of OIP-U, BLSA (Black Law Students Association), and several different communities!
