STATE SEND-OFF CELEBRATION Athens High School Wrestling is heading to the AHSAA Class 6A State Wrestling Tournament at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville to defend their title! Our captured the Blue Map in 2025 and have continued to dominate this season, earning top honors 🏆 at the AHSAA 6A Wrestling Duals and AHSAA 6A North Sectionals.

📣The community is invited to show their support and cheer on our Golden Eagles 🦅 during a special State Send-Off Celebration!

📍Athens High School Freshman Academy Entrance (near the AHS Arena/Gymnasium).

Fans are encouraged to bring their as we send off our team in championship style 🖤💛 before they take the mat at 3:00 PM at the VBC.

North Alabama Elite Wrestling and Athens Wrestling are teaming up to host a FREE Beginner Wrestling Clinic at the Athens High School Mat Room! This is the perfect chance for kids ages 5–12 to learn the basics of wrestling in a fun, supportive environment. Whether your child is brand new to the sport or just curious to try something new, this clinic is designed to teach fundamentals, build confidence, and spark a love for the sport!

What to wear: Gym clothes and tennis shoes
