A Northeast Georgia based children’s chorus dedicated to shaping the hearts and minds of youths ages 7-18 in a safe and nurturing atmosphere through song!

The Georgia Children's Chorus (GCC) is an auditioned children’s choral 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization consisting of three choirs, Intermezzo, Prelude, and Concert. Youths from ages 8 to 18 are selected through an audition process and placed in a choir by ability and age. GCC practices throughout the academic year from August to May, and weekly rehearsals are held each Tuesday at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at UGA. Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall of the UGA Performing Arts Center offers a state-of-the-art venue to showcase the voices of our singers in annual Holiday and Spring concerts. The chorus also sings at various community events and other special programs that are scheduled throughout the year.

Treble Chorus gives students in grades 2–5 a welcoming place to learn, belong, grow, and build confidence. 🎶

During weekly rehearsals, young singers develop healthy vocal technique, musicianship, listening skills, and the ability to work as part of an ensemble. They also form friendships, take meaningful musical risks, and experience the pride of preparing and performing together.

No audition or previous choir experience is required. Some singers arrive with years of musical experience; others are joining a choir for the first time. We welcome each child where they are and help them take their next steps.

There is still time for your child to find their place in the Georgia Children’s Chorus.

Registration for our 2026–2027 season closes September 15. GCC welcomes students in grades 2–12 across all vocal ranges—including sopranos, altos, tenors, basses, and singers whose voices are changing.

No audition or previous choir experience is required. Singers receive substantive music education while building confidence, responsibility, friendships, and a genuine sense of belonging.

Our ensembles include:

🎶 Treble Chorus for grades 2–5
🎶 Concert Choir for grades 6–12
🎶 Lyric Ensemble for advanced treble voices in grades 9–12
🎶 Low Key Collective for tenor, bass, and changing voices

We don’t audition for potential—we cultivate it.

Sometimes the biggest barriers to trying something new are the things we assume our children already need.

Choir experience. Music lessons. Friends in the group. A particular kind of voice. A place secured before rehearsals began.

None of those is required to join Treble Chorus.

We welcome students in grades 2–5 exactly where they are, then help them develop healthy vocal technique, musicianship, confidence, and the skills to contribute meaningfully to an ensemble. Along the way, they form friendships and discover a community where their voices matter.

Fifteen singers have already begun their first GCC season this year. Your child will not be the only one learning, meeting people, and finding their place.

Of our 41 current singers, 15 are brand-new members this season. ❤️

They are already walking through the doors, learning the music, forming friendships, and discovering where their voices fit. Your child will not be the only new singer—and they have not missed their opportunity to become part of the community.

Registration remains open through September 15 for students in grades 2–12. We would especially love to welcome more students in grades 2–5 to Treble Chorus.

Your child does not need previous choir experience to begin singing with Georgia Children’s Chorus.

No audition is required. We welcome students where they are, give them the instruction and support they need, and maintain clear expectations for participation, preparation, and growth.
