Georgia Children's Chorus

Georgia Children's Chorus A Northeast Georgia based children’s chorus dedicated to shaping the hearts and minds of youths ages 7-18 in a safe and nurturing atmosphere through song!

The Georgia Children's Chorus (GCC) is an auditioned children’s choral 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization consisting of three choirs, Intermezzo, Prelude, and Concert. Youths from ages 8 to 18 are selected through an audition process and placed in a choir by ability and age. GCC practices throughout the academic year from August to May, and weekly rehearsals are held each Tuesday at the Hugh Hodgso

n School of Music at UGA. Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall of the UGA Performing Arts Center offers a state-of-the-art venue to showcase the voices of our singers in annual Holiday and Spring concerts. The chorus also sings at various community events and other special programs that are scheduled throughout the year.

We need to take a sec to give a HUGE thank you to Tom Granum for being a Swiss Army Knife of a musician and filling in in almost every capacity over the past few weeks. We can't stress enough how fortunate we are to have him and so many amazing people supporting our program.

Tom, thank you for filling in as director, pianist, and being an essential overall mentor for students and adults!
