Ratha Con 2026 is in the books. And it seems like everyone who attended had a great time, which is what we aim for! Here is hoping you all made it home safely and we see you again next year.

Melinda is going to live dangerously and ask you to post any *constructive* feedback in the comments. Or suggestions for things we might want to think about implementing in future cons.

Please don't complain about the parking because she already is and there is unfortunately nothing we can do about it. :-/

We would give a final shout out to Ratha Con committee member, Phoenix of Griffin and Roxy fame, whose conglomeration of tables is also hosting our Special Guest Melody Nosurname and a couple of other folks, but we're really not sure what shenanigans they're getting up to. You'll just have to stop by and find out for yourself. We do know he borrowed Melinda's badge maker and is known to have balloons nearby....

Other committee members with vendor spaces or tables include Mark of Dying Star Fabrications, and Rowan, who will be a surprise!

One final shout out to go - for our fabulous MC, Caitlin Seida! Many of you may recognize her and yet not know that she's also a published author, among many other skills and talents. Not only will Caitlin be doing MC duties for us this year, but she will aslo be doing a talk on her writing process and how to perhaps get your own literary juices flowing! You might even find out how she came by one of her online handles - The Original Fridge Raider. And finally, we're hoping she'll read, for the first time, her internet famous poem, "Hope is not a bird, Emily. It's a Sewer Rat." (Go ahead and look it up.)

We are getting down to the wire and I still feel like there are so many fun things to mention. Like activities!

On the main floor we have a couple of video game dems, there's Magic the Gathering and Pokemone card games, the cosplay contests (that's a seperate post), fun carnival-type games up near the Info Table, a stamp scavenger hunt involving the vendors, book readings from the stage, and over in one of the corner's will be none-other than Prof. Horatio Hopps and his the amazing Steampbrewery! There will be samples while supplies last and we can tell you that his sarsparilla is amazing!

Oh, and the lovely gentles from our local Shire of Dernehealde - SCA will also be in attendance, providing fight demos once again. We're pretty sure there will be a variety of medieval arts and crafts on display as well. Good times!

Fb asks what's on our mind and I will answer - FOOD! We've already mentioned Richard's Tacos et Mas, as well as Asian Fusion, whose food we are excited to try. (Richard's is really, really good as well!)

But this year we have a little something extra in the food department. Down the little hallway, in the lobby outside the meeting rooms, you will find the delectable baked goods of LoveBites Nelsonville ! This is our first time trying a food vendor down there and we're really looking forward to it! Also, I hear their coffee is really good!

Ratha Con isn't just about wanting to buy all the things from our wonderful vendors. Are you into video games, ttrpgs, or Magic and Pokemon? We've got it!

On top of a couple fo lovely folks demo'ing their video games on the main floor, Jon from Retro Video Games will be back in meeting room A with his old school consols that are always so popular.

Tucked back there with him will be Hans running Pathfinder, starting at noon, and Brian running a session of Dungeon Crawl Classics at 11.

And on the main floor? Deep Dive Games is back until around 5 with Magic and Pokemon? Don't know how to play but want to learn? Stop by and say hi! Eric has decks you can borrow just for that!

Hans Meyer is back again this year with some delicous Pathfinder! It all happens back in the game room. There is a link to sign up beforehand on the attached flyer or Hans posted a link on the event page. Having now enjoyed a session of Pathfinder with Hans, I can truly say it's a really good time!
