Committed to Athens County The Athens Foundation has been serving the people of Athens County for 40 years. Since its beginning it has awarded over $3,500,000.

Grants focus largely on arts, culture, recreation, social services, health, environment, civic improvement, animal welfare and education in Athens County. From the initial contributions of $50 each by its eight founding members, the assets of the corporation have grown tremendously. This year, the Foundation awarded over 30 grants and other allocations to local non-profit and government agencies, totaling more than $400,000. Members and donors of the Athens Foundation touch many lives in Athens County.
