United People of Georgia

United People of Georgia We want to accomplish many things! We also plan to build a homeless shelter to get the homeless off the streets, and back on their feet.

Our organization plan on building a domestic violence shelter so that people who have to deal with that, have a safe location to go to. We will have a place for them to live while trying to get back on their feet by helping with interviews, getting them to and from those interviews, and supplying the necessary items to help them succeed. We will also supply money to help people go on fun and educa

tional trips. One day we may take children and their parents on a trip to Disney World(for example), and another trip might be to the Georgia Aquarium. As we earn money, we'd supply cars and housing for our employees. We would also supply cars to volunteers to help with the day to day activities, whether it be bringing somebody to an interview, or taking somebody to school who missed the bus. We also plan on having a clothing and food bank so that people in the community have a place to get clothes and food that they need to survive. United People of Georgia will host holiday events, like Christmas dinner/gift exchange, Thanksgiving dinner, Easter Egg Hunts, etc.'

While school is in session, and even when it isn't, we would provide a computer room and tutors to help students with their studies, while supplying transportation to all of the things that we try to do to help the community. For all of you parents out there! If you can't afford childcare, but also need to work to pay your bills and put food on the table, we have you covered! We will supply a free/low cost day care center. To help with children and adults that have gone through any kind of crisis, we will help with providing counseling services! We will also try to start a zoological park to teach people in the community about conservation and animals, and to help future generations help conserve ecosystems that they live in. Last, but not least, we will provide activities for people in the community. We could teach sports, or if somebody wants to learn how to play an instrument or act. Who knows, we could put instructors in students paths to lead them to stardom! Although we are in the beginning stages, we have big plans and will put all of these stages as we grow. We aren't a 501(c)3 organization yet, but will hopefully be going in that direction here in the next months.

One of the most poignant songs ever written about 9/11. The song really touches me because 9/11/2001 was my 25th wedding anniversary and we were on a Caribbe...

The African Elephant (Loxodonta africana) is the largest terrestrial animal species on Earth. According to the International Union for Conservation (IUCN) Red List, they are listed as Vulnerable.

The Africian Elephant covers a wide range thorough a variety of habitats. They can be found in dense forest, open and closed savanna, and grasslands. They can also be found in the deserts of Namibia and Mali.

The species numbers have increased overtime because they were listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List, although their populations are decreasing in some areas. There are more than 15,000 mature individuals as of 2006.

The major threats for the species includes, poaching for their ivory and meat, loss of habitat by human settlement expansions and land conversion, such as plantations, the building of canals and roads.

We have taken measures to conserve the species! We do this though habitat management and protection from law enforcement. You can also help by not purchasing ivory products,
