TWO DAYS BEFORE CAMP OUT!! 🏕️

Reminders:

Tent campers, bring your gear. You are responsible for providing what you need to be comfortable.

Cabin beds, reserved. Fitted and flat sheets provided by one of our Sistars. Please bring your own pillows and blankets if you need them.

It will be cold at night, wear warm clothes and bring warm blankets.

Hiking boots and tennis shoes!

POTLUCK is on Saturday, lunch and dinner. Friday night we will be at the winery after opening ceremony, you are more than welcome to kick it at camp if you’d like. Keep it simple, keep it light, keep it nourishing.

The weather changes in Athens constantly. One minute it’s raining, the next the sun is singing 🌞

ATHENS SISTER CIRCLE CAMP OUT July 24th-26th NEED TO KNOW:

*Camp out is “sold out”; however, the owners of Dutch Creek Winery have a yellow caboose Airbnb which allows for an extra 2-3 women to join us. If you would like to stay here, message me directly* (SOLD OUT)

• All vehicles must be moved out of the campsite area in order for us to have room for our tents. Camp set up: drive to spot, unload vehicle, drive car to designated parking area, walk back. For those of you with walking limitations, you’re welcome to catch a ride back into the camp site or hop on the side by side. The parking area is within a short walking distance.

• The weather constantly changes in Ohio. Afternoon rains are common, pack gear accordingly. If we are in flash flood with heavy rains, we may consider closing up camp for safety reasons. It’s also going to be HOT, hopefully the creek will cool us down.

• BRING WATER to drink, wash hands, etc. You are welcome to use the water in the cabin and outdoor shower.

• We will be in NATURE. This means we may run into snakes, ticks, and critters of all the likes. Pack first aid kits, bug sprays, etc. The hospital is 25 minutes away, let’s not give them a run for their money.

• Wear shoes with good grip! We will be hiking up a steep hill to get to a meadow for our drumming/forest bathing/voice release exercise.

• We are ALL responsible for bringing food, nourishing one another, stoking the fire and picking up after ourselves. If you see trash, pick it up.

• Pop-up campers and RV’s are not allowed. There’s no space. Tent camping only. For those of you that reserved the 2 twin trundle beds (4 twin beds total), please be mindful of the space. Your room will lead out to the tree house patio for reiki.

• Campers can arrive around 3 p.m. IF you would like to come earlier to help me with tasks, please do! You will be welcome to set your camp up early if you’re helping with set up!

• There is a small fridge inside the tiny cabin. If you need to refrigerate anything, please put your name on it.

• There is a TINY shower, washer/dryer, sink, toilet, outdoor shower with no walls. There will not be a porter John. Dutch Creek Winery is only open certain hours. Please be mindful when using the woods.

• You are welcome to do a barter/sell/gift/donate table at your tent! Keep it simple but have FUN with it! BRING BUBBLES! LOTS AND LOTS OF BUBBLES!!! I cannot stress this enough! There’s something magical that happens in our hearts when we blow bubbles in nature. Your inner girl will be tickled with laughter!

• Reiki is from 9am to 2pm on Saturday. There will be a sign up sheet. Sessions are 15-20 min, and is included in your ticket price.

• If you have art supplies that you would like to share with everyone during our art project, you’re welcome to do so!

• Yoga is being held at 7 p.m. on Saturday. NO eating or drinking one hour prior to yoga. It’s important our digestion has settled. Light amount of water is allowed. PLEASE BRING A YOGA MAT OR OUTDOOR BLANKET/RUG. Mats are not provided. We will be doing yoga in the grass.

• Although we are going to the winery on Friday night for jewelry making, mead, food, and laughter, alcohol is prohibited.

• Please be respectful of smoked herbal infusions and plant medicine alternatives. Smoking needs to be away from tents and areas where we gather.

Hello ladies!

Our July Camp Out is coming closer and closer!! All tickets have been sold! We do not have space for others. Carpooling and sharing tents will be helpful!

Currently, we have arrival time for 3pm.

There is only one way into the campsite and one way out. We all must be mindful of traffic. The road is rough for about 1/4 mile, driving with care is highly encouraged!

There is limited parking once you are on the campsite. Most cars will need to be placed my the owners home , there will be signs and women to help direct you.

IMPORTANT TO KEEP IN MIND:
We are camping in an area surrounded by the forest. There is a TINY cabin that everyone is welcome to go in and out of if you get too hot. Please note that filling all 20 of us in there will make us look like a can of packed sardines. There is one small shower, small washer/dryer for emergency use, stove/fridge, and an emergency shower outside.

Whatever trash you bring into camp out MUST be taken OUT. There will be a dumpster for us to take trash to on the way out.

Camping tents will most be set up in a row. There’s a flat area and a hill behind it. You are welcome to set up a little shop in front of your tent for buy/sell/trade. Please keep it simple, easy to manage.

You may not have cell service and we will not have WiFi.

Please be mindful of harmful plants and animals!!! I cannot stress this enough!

Bring FUN things to share such as bubbles, arts and crafts, books, etc. Camp out is also for YOU to unwind!

There will be a liability waiver at check-in, it is required to be signed in order to enter Campout.

There will be a few of us ladies available to help with with whatever questions you may have during camp out.

Friday: getting settled into the campsite. Opening ceremony and then head over to Dutch Creek for wine and dine.

Saturday: filled with events, reiki, adventure and downtime.

Sunday: closing ceremony, pack up and leave.

*IF THE WEATHER IS BAD, and we get a severe storm or flood warning, please trust your better judgement. You are welcome to pack up during this time.

Our campout is only about 6 weeks away, and now is the perfect time to start checking your camping gear!

This is a dry camping event, so please plan accordingly. While there is access to one shower, a washer and dryer, and a small kitchen for meal preparation, most of our weekend will be spent enjoying the simplicity and beauty of camping together.

Things you may want to bring:

✨ Tent, canopy, or camper setup
✨ Sleeping bag, blankets, pillows, and sleeping pad or air mattress
✨ Camp chair for gathering around the fire
✨ Lanterns, flashlights, and extra batteries
✨ Cooler, water bottles, snacks, and meal supplies
✨ Towels and personal hygiene items
✨ Weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes
✨ Sunscreen, bug spray, and any medications you may need
✨ Journal, drum, musical instruments, tarot cards, art supplies, or anything that helps you feel connected and at home in nature

We also invite you to bring items you’d like to share, trade, exchange, gift, or sell from your campsite. Handmade creations, plants, herbs, crystals, books, artwork, crafts, clothing, or treasures looking for a new home are all welcome. Think of it as a little village of women supporting one another through community and creativity.

Most importantly, bring your authentic self. The campout isn’t about having the fanciest gear—it’s about gathering around the fire, sharing stories, laughing until our cheeks hurt, and remembering what it feels like to belong.

We cannot wait to spend this weekend with all of you. 🌙🔥
