Building the Next Generation of Mental Health Leaders
This summer, young leaders from across Ohio came together for the NAMI NextGen/ENGAGE Retreat, creating space for connection, meaningful conversation and a shared commitment to shaping the future of mental health advocacy.
Throughout the retreat, participants had opportunities to learn from one another, exchange ideas and explore how their individual experiences and perspectives can translate into action. Most importantly, each participant left with an action plan to carry what they learned back into their communities. The enthusiasm didn’t end with the retreat—participants expressed a strong desire to keep the conversations going, stay connected and continue collaborating.
The retreat may have lasted only a few days, but the relationships, ideas and momentum created there are just beginning. We’re excited to see how these young leaders turn their plans into action and continue building a stronger, more connected mental health community across Ohio.
