EMPTY BOWLS PROJECT, FUNDRAISER

Empty Bowls Project is a grassroots effort to raise awareness of hunger and food insecurity in Limestone County. The fourth annual Empty Bowls event is scheduled for Wednesday,April 30, 2014, at Friendship United Methodist Church on Lucas Ferry Road, Athens, AL. Tickets can be reserved at Friendship Church, 256-233-4906. About LCCI:

Proceeds from the event will

go to Limestone County Churches Involved, a non-denominational food and shelter program in Limestone County. Tere Richardson, LCCI board president, said LCCI helped 20 to 30 families per week in 2009. LCCI now helps about 70 families per week . To find out more please go to their page:
