It was a great weekend at Lanier for our May two day tournament.
On Saturday Kerry Partain & Chris Nelson got 1st place side bet & big fish with 17.81 with a 4.31 lb spot. On Sunday Jason Long and Kody Nixon got 1st place side bet and big fish with 18.40 with a 5.0 lb largemouth.
The top two places were about as close as they could get for the overall weekend. Here’s the total weight results for those who finished in the money:
1st: 34.21 - Kerry & Chris
2nd: 34.20 - Jason & Cody
3rd: 32.75 - Steve & Tim
Lanier did not disappoint!

Here’s the updated standings from our tournament on Russell this past Saturday. Danny and Alan showed out again, winning two in a row. Here are the winning results:
1st: Danny & Alan - 14.6
2nd: Gary & David - 14.2
3rd: tie at 13.8 - Sam & Chad/Matt & Ricky
Big Fish: Matt & Ricky - 4.4

I don’t think we could have asked for a nicer day to fish in early March on “The Hill” yesterday. Danny Colquitt and Alan Witcher showed out winning 1st place and big fish. Great job guys! Top three places below.

1st: Danny & Alan - 19.8
2nd: Kerry & Chris - 17.2
3rd: Gary & David - 16.2

Looks good to meet this Sunday, February 8th at 2 pm… Masters Garage in Athens. Dues $520 per boat for the year. We’ll review rules and set the schedule for 2026. See you all there.

We’re definitely changing the meeting to next Sunday, February 8th. It won’t be above freezing early enough today for safe conditions to travel on roads or the parking lot. We’ll still have almost a full month between the meeting and our first tournament, so plenty of time to get everything ready.

The way the snow is coming down now travel tomorrow will probably be iffy… Most likely we’ll move the meeting tomorrow another week out, but will confirm later today or in the morning.

We’ve changed the meeting to Sunday, Feb 1st. Master’s Garage at 2 pm. Looks like weather will for sure be an impact for the area this Sunday. Best thing for us to do is push the meeting out a week.

Our 2026 club meeting will be at Masters Garage on Sunday, January 25th at 2 pm. This is where we will pay dues for the year, set the schedule and rules. The dues are currently set at $520 per boat. See you there!
