Posting this one more time because the more volunteers the better! This event will be serving people with disabilities in the Athens community. In my time as an intern for AIRS, I have learned so much about the importance of community engagement and inclusion. This carnival will not only be a FUN time, but it will provide an activity day for ALL participants to feel capable, included, and independent! Good afternoon!
We are so excited to announce our next activity day that will take place on April 25th! The I scream You Scream Ice Cream Carnival will include carnival games such as corn hole, water balloon toss, hula hoop challenge, and bingo! Most importantly, there will be homemade ice cream! In order to participate, we need every participant to fill out the consent and release form that will be sent to your email after signing up. You can bring this with you on the day of the event! This past Friday AIRS hit the dance floor for some spunky Zumba, then took some time to meditate with relaxing yoga! Big shoutout to the Occupational Therapy club for helping us enjoy this fun day! And thanks to all of the other volunteers who helped out!
