Acceptance Recovery Center, Inc. ARC is a long-term residential treatment program for individuals with Substance Use Disorder that assess as high risk/need. Located in Athens, GA!

We are THOR, GARR, RPH, and CARF accredited. We are MAT friendly and serve a large and diverse population! Acceptance Recovery Center (ARC) is a intensive recovery residence located in Athens-Clarke County Georgia. We offer a supportive home where men and women’s receive effective, evidence based practices for their addictions while being required to be actively engaged with the community. Each resident must complete the 5 phase program in no less than 12 months. The Alumni Care Transition program is an additional 12 months of support. Services:

What a beautiful month of celebrating recovery, connection, hope, and the incredible miracles that happen every single day.

We are so grateful that Acceptance Recovery Center had the opportunity to be part of so many meaningful moments throughout Recovery Awareness Month, from walking together, talking together, sharing stories, raising awareness, and witnessing the courage it takes to choose recovery, one day at a time.

Here’s a little recap of some of the memories we made along the way. 📸✨

We are endlessly grateful for all recovering miracles we had the privilege of being surrounded by this month. Every smile, every conversation, every step forward, and every story of recovery is a reminder that recovery is possible and lives are worth celebrating.

✨ Reflections & Gratitude: Wrapping Up the NARR Best Practices Summit! 🕊️💜

Attending the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) Annual Best Practices Summit in Fort Lauderdale, FL—as both the President & CEO of Acceptance Recovery Center and a proud NARR Board Member—was an incredibly moving experience. We are leaving with hearts full of gratitude, valuable new knowledge, inspiring connections, and fresh momentum for the work ahead! 🌟

A massive thank you to NARR and FARR for putting together such an impactful, educational, and high-energy summit. Bringing together recovery residence providers, Recovery Community Organizations, peer professionals, advocates, and leaders from across the country created an incredible space to elevate recovery standards and learn from one another.

One of the most profound moments for me personally was moderating a panel alongside my former unit manager guard from my time in prison. To transition from that past chapter to standing together today as peers and leaders in the recovery movement was a humbling testament to the power of transformation, grace, and second chances.

We are especially grateful for the opportunity for Acceptance Recovery Center to not only absorb best practices, but also contribute to the vital conversations shaping the future of recovery housing. Every workshop, hallway chat, and new connection gave us valuable insights to bring back home. A special thank you goes out to all the extraordinary staff, presenters, exhibitors, and volunteers who made absolute magic happen behind the scenes to coordinate this event! The relationships and education built this week don't end here—we are heading home inspired and ready to strengthen our work and better serve our community. 🤝✨

As the CEO and Founder of Acceptance Recovery Center, people often ask me where my passion for this work comes from. Today is a deeply personal reminder of the exact reason we exist.

Today we celebrate Reign’s 6th Adoption Day anniversary! 👑✨
Six years ago, I felt called to take a step that changed my world forever—shifting from "Aunt B" to becoming a mother to help break the generational cycles of trauma and addiction in our family. Back then, I couldn’t have imagined the beauty of the life we would build, or how profoundly it would solidify my purpose.

Reign is a living, breathing, shining example of our mission at Acceptance: to break generational cycles, restore families, and create new legacies rooted in hope and healing.

Watching her grow into a kind, brilliant, sassy, and outspoken young lady approaching her 8th birthday is my daily reminder that recovery doesn't just change one person's life—it changes generations.

Happy Adoption Day, Rising Queen. Thank you for choosing me to be your mama, and for being the living proof of the promise of recovery. ❤️🌱✨
