About 20 Indivisibles turned out to Athens City Council last night to introduce a resolution naming Athenians’ stake in a citizen-led redistricting process that puts people over party and calling on state officials to set the record straight about Issue 1’s provisions.

Coming soon in Jackson, Ohio: Klips4Kids, an afternoon of free haircuts for school-aged children from professional barbers and stylists! Free snacks, school supplies, and more will be provided.

Save the date: Sunday, August 11 from 1:00-4:00pm
Location: Christ Church, 150 Portsmouth St, Jackson, Ohio

First come, first served. Please have the children arrive with freshly washed hair.

This spring we are hosting a Klips 4 Kids for Athens County families at the Shade Community Center! Any school-age child--pre-K through 12th grade--is welcome to come and get a free haircut.

You can expect a snack, entertainment, a goodie bag, and more! Please come with freshly washed hair. First come, first served.

We would love to see you there! Feel free to invite folks with school-aged children.

Thanks to everyone who showed up as Holiday Helpers this December!

Not only did we have dozens of people shopping for children of low-income families in Athens County…

Not only did we have a holiday raffle that covered the cost of hams for all the families who wanted one…

Not only did Columbus Women's Rugby Club have all the desserts needed for their meals delivered to us (including some extra-special homemade treats!)…

Not only did we also have HOMEMADE cranberry sauce and carrot glaze lovingly made by UCM Center:’s staff AND lots of carrots donated by Community Food Initiatives…

Not only did we have volunteers to help pack food boxes and load up everything for people as they picked up…

We had other donations from near and far, including several local businesses! We appreciate you, too, Kindred Market, Kroger in Trimble, and Snowville Creamery!!!!

For families in Athens County with incomes 200% or less of the poverty guidelines, we are sponsoring a meal for the family and child-specific gifts for children 18 and under. Limited spots are available.
