You may have noticed we have a new look around here!

For nearly 60 years, the Athens Community Council on Aging has helped our community age well and live well. Now, as aging changes, we're growing with it.

Welcome to The Center at ACCA, a vibrant community hub that helps adults and families age well and live well throughout Northeast Georgia.

We're still here with the trusted services and support you've always known us for, from meals and transportation to benefits counseling and dementia resources...but that's just part of what we offer!

We're also a place to THRIVE, CONNECT, CREATE, TRAVEL, and LEARN.

Whether you're looking to stay active in a mat pilates class, try something new like pottery, make friends over dinner, explore new places near and far, or find support when life changes, there's a place for you here.

Yesterday, hundreds of people walked through our doors to celebrate a new chapter for ACCA, and we were absolutely blown away by the excitement, support, and love.

To our clients and participants, staff, volunteers, board members, sponsors, community partners, friends, and everyone who joined us yesterday: thank you. And to everyone who has been part of ACCA’s story over nearly 60 years, thank you for helping us get here.

The Center at ACCA may be a new name, but it’s built on decades of people showing up for one another and a belief that aging can be full of possibility, connection, purpose, and joy.

Here’s to everything we’ve built together and everything still to come.

Today's the day! After nearly 60 years of helping older adults age well and live well, ACCA is beginning its next chapter, and we want you to be a part of it.

Join us from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as we officially welcome our community to The Center at ACCA!

Try a mini class, discover upcoming travel opportunities, grab a bite from Newk's Eatery, Barberitos, Chibugan, or Chick-fil-A, meet our staff, board, and community partners like Little Light Co., and see all the ways you can thrive, connect, create, travel and learn with us.

A few things to know before you go:
•11:30 a.m. Welcome + special presentation
•11:45 a.m. Ribbon cutting with the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce
•We're located at 135 Hoyt Street, Athens
•Onsite parking + overflow parking with shuttle service available

Mark your calendars for ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!

Something new is taking shape at ACCA, and next Tuesday, we’re opening our doors and inviting you to come experience it!

Join us for the The Center at ACCA Community Open House as we celebrate the start of a new chapter and introduce Aging Reimagined to our community.

Explore our space, try mini classes like line dancing, music therapy, yoga, and hula dancing, learn about our upcoming travel opportunities, meet our team and community partners, enjoy bites from food trucks, enter to win prizes, and more! And at 11:30 a.m., join us for a brief presentation introducing The Center at ACCA, followed by a ribbon cutting with the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce.
