Special Needs night at Kiddie Carnival.

Many groups and individuals helped us bring you the 2026 Kiddie Carnival and we want to thank them! The Athens Police Department - Alabama and Athens City Schools help make the carnival possible each year with their assistance. We don't want to insult any by leaving them out so we'll just say thank you to all the print, radio, television and digital media services as well as our Athens-Limestone County Chamber of Commerce who help us promote the Kiddie Carnival.
We cannot emphasize enough how important all the volunteer groups from schools, churches, businesses, other civic groups and numerous individuals are to the Kiddie Carnival. The Athens Lions appreciate all of them! A special thanks to some groups who provide volunteers each night of the carnival: Leo Club members from Limestone Career Technical School, member of Sub Deb & Pi Beta from Athens High School. We are thankful to the members of Athens Alabama Rotary Club who volunteered each night of our first & last weekends of carnival. All the volunteers who help the Athens Lions are how we can host the carnival each night. In addition to these volunteers we had volunteers from the Madison Area Family Lions Club, Ardmore Lions Club & Lexington Lions Club assisting us.
To all who helped us have a great 2026 Kiddie Carnival by attending, volunteering or supporting us in other ways we appreciate it!

Another great year of Kiddie Carnival has come to a close. The Athens Lions Club members are thankful for your continued support of the Kiddie Carnival. Despite the weather not always cooperating with us or you, we had one of our best years with the 2026 Kiddie Carnival season! Your patience and understanding that we are popular and many families want to enjoy the unique rides and family friendly atmosphere is appreciated. A huge shout out to all the volunteer groups and individuals that are a key part of us being able to operate the Kiddie Carnival each night, completely by volunteers including Athens Lions members.
We look forward to seeing you next summer and again thank you for supporting the Athens Lions Club Kiddie Carnival!

Regrettably we are canceling the Kiddie Carnival for tonight. The grounds are too wet for a safe Kiddie Carnival.
Thank you for your support and patronage this year!
