Thank you all for stopping by and taking the time to read about the SUMMERFEST music fundraiser hosted in Athens, AL. We are just a few local families that put together an annual benefit to help raise money for a good cause that stays in our Limestone County community created out of a passion for music and a drive to give back. To give you some context, SUMMERFEST was originally created as REDFEST

starting in 2011 to help give back to local tornado victims of our community. The first annual REDFEST was so successful, the decision was made to host annually. From year to year, the beneficiary would change, but would always stay local within our community. REDFEST was always hosted on private property and unfortunately due to COVID and the sale of that property REDFEST dissolved for many years. During the 2021/2022 time frame, the itch to figure out the logistics of hosting again took over and SUMMERFEST was born. The first annual SUMMERFEST took place on the square in downtown Athens, AL August 2022. While we were flying by the seat of our pants, learning the ropes of hosting a public event, we saw a huge success. We host SUMMERFEST free to the public to enjoy local music artists so bring your lawn chairs and join us each and every year as we give back to our community! Contributions made to each beneficiary are solely driven by contributions made by YOU, our community. We are excited to keep working hard making each year bigger and better.
