If you are an individual looking to volunteer or donate supplies, please consider the following:
-- Know CDC's guidelines for protecting yourself (and others): https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html
-- If you are feeling sick or have a temperature, you should not volunteer
-- If you have come in contact with someone who has COVID-19, you should not volunteer
-- Volunteers should practice social distancing and maintain at least 6 feet between each other
-- Volunteers should wash their hands frequently
-- Volunteers should avoid touching their face during engaging in volunteer activities
--Volunteers should review and follow all event details closely when signing up for opportunities

The Clarke County Mentor Program is hosting a mentor program training session on Friday, March 6th 2020.

Volunteers must be able to commit to one hour of mentorship per week for a full year. All interested applicants must complete an application, background check and a training session.

The next training session is on Friday, March 6th from 3:00-4:00 pm.

"Grow it! Know it!" is seeking volunteers to help with the Hilsman Middle School Food Pantry. Volunteers will help pack food into boxes that will be delivered to families. The work day is on Tuesday, March 3rd from 6:00 to 7:00 pm

Come join The Backpack Project of Athens (TBP/ATH), a UGA student-run nonprofit organization aiming to ease the burden of homelessness in the Athens area, in cooking hot meals (12:00-2:00 PM) and distributing them (2:00-4:00 PM) to people experiencing homelessness this Saturday, February 29! The cooking will take place at The Catholic Center (address listed on flyer). Interested in historic preservation in Athens?

Serve UGA is seeking volunteers to assist with the beautification and preservation of Brooklyn Cemetery. Brooklyn Cemetery is a historic African American cemetery which was primarily used in the 1880s to the 1990s. Volunteers will remove brush and overgrowth from the site.

Serve UGA is seeking volunteers to assist with Athens-Clarke County Animal Control. The ACCA works to protect animals from dangerous situations and to promote public safety. Volunteers will interact with cats and dogs.
