Once again, your continued generosity has overwhelmed us! While the picture below is humorous, it somewhat depicts our current situation.

We are bursting at the seams with inventory and need some time to work through it all! That said, The Closet is unable to receive any additional donations until January 1, 2026.

There is one exception, though. We are always in need of children’s clothes of all sizes, boys and girls.

We will be out and about this Fall taking The Closet to at least one local nursing facility, apartment complexes, and showing some love to the guests of Love in Action.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support!

NEED: A client reached out this morning expressing a need for fans in her home due to their a/c going out.

Would anyone happen to have a fan or two that you no longer need that you wouldn’t mind donating?

If so, would it be possible to get the fan(s) today as there is a one year old in the home and she is trying to keep him as comfortable as possible.

For the second year in a row, The Closet was privileged to partner with House of Mercy for their annual shoes and backpack giveaway!

This event allows us the opportunity to reach a large volume of people providing clothes for the whole family!

We love our friends at House of Mercy and appreciate them allowing us to be a part of this wonderful event!

The Closet will be taking a load of clothes and supplies down to the flood-ravaged areas in and around Kerr County on Wednesday morning. The attached flyer lists the items we are focusing on.

If you would like to drop off any items for us to take, we will be receiving them tonight and tomorrow night from 5:15-6:30.

The Closet is located on the campus of Faith Church of Athens at 901 Mission Avenue.

Thank you in advance for your support of this effort. Please be in prayer for safe travels and for those impacted by the flooding!

We had a great time visiting with the residents of Oak Wood Place Senior Living last Saturday!

It’s always fun to watch them ‘shop’ and even more fun to watch their faces when we tell them it’s totally free!

Thank you to everyone who has donated to The Closet! You are impacting lives of so many in our area!
