Camp Daniel Camp Daniel is an organization dedicated to providing people with disabilities opportunities for personal, social and spiritual growth.

Camp Daniel is rooted in its summer camping program that offers people with disabilities access to safe and fun northwoods camping experiences, where the physical, social, and spiritual needs, that exach person’s disability requires, are lovingly met. Through each week of camp, the dedicated Camp Daniel Staff works toward imparting the belief that each of us has value and have been given gifts to

offer others. Each camper and volunteer participates in a multitude of activities designed to reinforce the concept of our need for each other and the value of our differences. Throughout the rest of the year, Camp Daniel and its staff oversee many activities that further this concept of a dependent community of people with and without disabilities. Programs such as The Able Attack Special Olympic Teams, Able in Action service projects, dances and retreats all foster social and personal growth. Each week many of those who participate in the other Camp Daniel programs, come together at The Able Church to grow closer to God and each other, while professing the the simple truth that God loves us, God made us, and God has a plan for each of our lives.

One of the best ways to experience the heart of Camp Daniel is through the stories of the people who serve here. Today we’re sharing a section from Jeb’s latest newsletter as we reflect on our Summer here at Camp Daniel.

“ A key memory from my summer would be during week 5 of camp, I had a cabin of younger-aged campers. On Thursday, we had to clean the cabin for our midweek cleaning. Motivating 8 - 18 year old boys to clean a cabin is hard work! So we turned on Disney music, which sidetracked us all, and we had a dance party and forgot to clean! Also, the awesome interns threw me a grad party since I didn’t have one at home before moving to camp.”

Come hang out at the camp lakefront for a celebration of our Camp Daniel community. This is a time to reconnect with current and past campers, volunteers, staff and supporters.

Let’s come together to enjoy a chili meal and corn roast, toast some s’mores at the campfire, go fishing and boating, play yard games, reminisce and create new memories by the lake!

When: Sept 19, 2026 | 3:00-6:00pm

Where: Homecoming will be hosted at Camp Daniel’s lakefront, located 1 hour north of Green Bay in Athelstane, Wisconsin. W10541 Army Ln, Athelstane, WI 54104

Who: This is a FREE event for anyone who has ever been a part of Camp Daniel in any way. We want to bring together the local community, supports, campers, volunteers, and their family and friends. Future alumni welcome, bring your friends!

Join Camp Daniel’s Special Olympics bowling team today! 🎳 Starting September 8th we will meet Tuesday nights at the CYI bowling alley in Crivitz. Reach out to team manager Ruth Hucek if you have an athlete interested in joining. No experience needed! For people with disabilities ages 8 and up. New members welcome, spread the word.

Important dates:

Practice Start date: September 8th (Kickoff week is shorter practice- ONLY 5PM-6PM)

Weekly: Tuesday Nights, 5pm-7pm

Registration Deadline: October 1st (follow link below)

Practice End date: Tuesday, November 10th

State Competition: November 14th-15th in Green Bay (Athletes compete on Sunday 11/15 at Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley)
